The other day, on the set of the traditional holiday TV show "Song of the Year", Kobzon spoke quite sharply about the show "The Voice". He stressed that he did not like the project very much, since the participants were "monkeying." "They parody foreign hits, and I want to hear performers who sing Russian songs."

The artist himself had previously assured that at the beginning of his career he preferred not to imitate famous singers, but "adopted some intonations from those people whose repertoire was trying to revive."

Kobzon added that real talents will be able to break through. And they don't have to have outstanding vocal abilities. As an example, he cited Alla Pugacheva and Grigory Leps.

“He has no voice, and the artist is unique. And the husky Vysotsky? And Utesov? They were also without a voice, but the people loved them,”Kobzon recalled.
