Despite her rather serious role in the Clint Eastwood film "Substitution", Angelina Jolie remains true to her image of a blockbuster star. The actress has not yet finished filming the spy thriller "Salt", but she is already waiting on the set of the sequel to "Wanted". As the well-known director and producer Timur Bekmambetov told the press, preparations for filming will begin next month.
“Preparations for the film will begin in July. And I think that by the end of autumn - in winter there will be filming, - Bekmambetov, who arrived in St. Petersburg for the economic forum, told RIA Novosti. “Filming will take place in America, India and Russia.”
As Mark Millar, screenwriter and author of popular comics, said earlier, the conversation about the sequel began already in the first rental weekend of the film: with the words: "Well, what are your plans for Wanted 2?" I looked at him and replied: "Yes, no." Then he said, "Okay, then just come up with something for us by next week."
According to the director, in the second part of the blockbuster "Wanted" he will "revive" the heroine of the actress Angelina Jolie, who dies at the end of the first film. In addition, new characters will be introduced in the sequel.
“As for the hero of Kostya Khabensky, we will think. Perhaps we will resurrect him too,”said the director.
According to Bekmambetov, the budget for the sequel will be about the same as for the first part of the film. Recall that the film with a budget of $ 150 million became the first production of this scale in the history of Hollywood, carried out by a director from Russia and with the participation of a Russian team (computer graphics, costumes, make-up, and so on). The film grossed $ 350 million at the box office.
Recall that Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman, as well as Russian actors Konstantin Khabensky and Dato Bakhtadze, played in the first part of the film.
