Scheduled concerts in the Moscow metro

Now passengers will be able to follow the schedule of musicians' performances on the Moscow metro website.

The online scoreboard of concerts has become available on the website of the Music in the Metro project, according to the website of the capital's mayor's office. In the future, they plan to add detailed information about each of the 30 musical groups that play in the subway.

The new section has become the most visited on the website of the music project: in a few days of test work, it was watched by about eight thousand people.

The pilot project Music in the Metro was launched in Moscow on May 25, 2016. As a result of the competitive selection - online auditions and performances in front of the jury - 30 musical groups received official permission to perform in the metropolitan subway. In July, the project hosted 228 performances. Every day the musicians play at three official venues - at the Mayakovskaya, Kurskaya and Vystavochnaya stations. The places for the performers are marked with special floor stickers.

In the future, if the project is recognized as successful, the number of sites can be increased to 15. There are plans to place them at the stations Arbatskaya (Filevskaya Line), Vorobyovy Gory, Dostoevskaya, Kitay-Gorod, Lermontovsky Prospekt, "Polyanka", "Trubnaya" and others. Improvised scenes can also be opened in the passages between Borovitskaya and Lenin Library, Teatralnaya and Okhotny Ryad, Teatralnaya and Revolution Square, Trubnaya and Tsvetnoy Boulevard.
