Denis, in February you will delight your fans with a new album. Tell us about it

The album is called "One Flew Above Us". Let's just say that this is a required and long-awaited album. I have a very busy touring schedule, so I don't have the opportunity to release albums often. I also worked on this in between filming and concerts. Together with the release of this disc, a large-scale tour begins.

- With a dragon. I was born in the Year of the Dragon.

- Unconquered peaks.

- Are you an owl or a lark?

- Owl.

- What is your psychological age?

- I feel like my age.

- All my talismans are on me. These are decorations. Bracelet, rings …

- How do you relieve stress?

- Differently. It could be football. I'm a football player to the brain of the guests. He left the sport due to injury, but I still play at the amateur level. But if it were not for the injury, now it would not be a singer-songwriter who would communicate with you, but a football player! By the way, you can relieve stress by going somewhere.

- Where did you spend your last vacation?

- I have a 5-year-old daughter, a son was born on December 11, so they could not go on vacation for a pleasant reason. But as soon as possible!

- What melody is on your mobile?

- I really don't like it when you call a person and he has music playing on his phone. Why should I listen to her, maybe I don't like her. I don’t play music on my own.

- What is your favorite aphorism?

- For example, like this: there is no chance of defeat.

Is the album fundamentally different from the previous ones?

I am very pleased that after my concerts people come out in a good mood, they say that the songs have energy that encourages them to live and believe in the best. Many people call my songs "a diary of life". For me, such an assessment of the audience is very important - it is an incentive to creativity. My new album is bright enough. This is reflected even in its design, it is in heavenly tones unusual for me. In general, my musical style is called differently. Once someone determined that it was bard-rock, and I, perhaps, will agree, somewhere it is there. I like that I am my own songwriter and producer, I do not depend on anyone, no one can tell me which songs to sing and how to look on stage. I am very proud that people put me on a par with such songwriters as Vladimir Vysotsky, Viktor Tsoi, Igor Talkov, Andrey Makarevich, Alexander Rosenbaum …

Are you targeting someone in Western music?

I don't listen to western music. Their melodies are far from the Russian soul. I am a Russian author and I write for Russian people.

In your art, you promote different values. And which ones are paramount for you personally?

As with every person: family and health.

In order to become a support for the family, do you have to sacrifice some of your interests? Is it difficult to be the perfect man?

You know, I don’t play the hero. A man doesn't have to be perfect, white and fluffy. A man should be strong, able to provide financial support for his family and give a woman a sense of support and confidence. A man should feel responsible.

It is rare for a creative man to boast of a clever wife who shares his creative impulses, supports and inspires

Yes, my wife and I were lucky. Natasha and I are like universal soldiers. Everything has passed. To become the wife of a general, you must marry a lieutenant. And my wife, one might say, married a junior lieutenant. (Laughs.) She works with me, we have a wonderful tandem. She and I have always believed in our goals. And they understood that the stronghold of the family is self-realization.

What helps to overcome difficulties?

Believe in yourself. And then I think that a good tool is a sense of humor. It is easier to overcome everything with him. You see, someone breaks into show business, investing millions, I didn't have millions, I invested years of my life. (Laughs.)

My wife works with me, we have a wonderful tandem. She and I have always believed in our goals. And they understood that the stronghold of the family is self-realization.

Denis, when did you start writing poetry and songs? What inspired you to do this?

I began to compose from the age of eight. I pleased my mother with the first works on March 8. At the age of 13 he wrote his first song.

Your mother raised you alone and raised you as a real man. You can imagine how proud she is of her son now

Yes, my mother raised me alone, and I always strived to be a support for her. At one time, I worked as a janitor, a security guard, and at a car wash. I gladly transported my mother to Moscow 10 years after I moved to the capital. Mom retired and we reunited. She helped me and Natasha very much in raising our daughter. And if we talk about creativity, my mother always asked me not to write empty songs. She said that everything should remain in the souls of people. And I'm glad that this is happening! My fans say that I succeed. Mom and Natasha are my main critics. And, of course, my daughter's opinion is important to me. (Laughs.) At least she is five years old, but her assessment is the most honest and objective.

You are an actor, producer, composer, performer … How will you surprise us in the near future? Maybe work in big cinema?

I will say this: everything has its time. The creative profession involves steps to the right, to the left. And my creative path continues. Yes, I like working in films. But I do not want a spontaneous role, it is interesting to work when the role is predictable. Just remember Vladimir Vysotsky.
