"Thank you, I have no sugar" is an author's photo project of Timofey Kolesnikov with the support of the Clinical Hospital on Yauza. The mission of the project is to draw attention to the topic of diabetes and inform the public about how to find out their risk of developing the disease and stay healthy. The project is timed to the launch of unique clinical trials for the treatment of diabetes at the cellular level, first conducted in Russia by the Yauza Clinical Hospital.
The project was created with the participation of famous theater and film actors. Victoria Isakova, Vladimir Vdovichenkov, Elena Lyadova, Maksim Matveev, Egor Koreshkov, Paulina Andreeva, Nikita Kukushkin, Pavel Derevyanko, Elena Podkaminskaya, Kirill Kyaro took part in the shooting of vivid photo portraits reflecting the complex themes of fighting diabetes.
The exhibition on the territory of the Fahrenheit space will last two weeks - from the moment of its launch on November 24 - and will be open to everyone.
The main goal of the project - to draw public attention to the topic of diabetes mellitus - will be implemented through social networks. On the project's Facebook page, useful information about diabetes and video messages from the actors who took part in the project will be published.
General partner of the project, Clinical Hospital on Yauza is a multidisciplinary medical center of a new generation, which has united a polyclinic, a hospital and a research complex under one roof.
Diabetes therapy, prevention of its consequences and innovations in treatment have become a priority area of the hospital's activities. The new medical institution is the only one in Russia included in the global international project for the development and implementation of new medical technologies for the creation of insulin-producing cells, an innovation that may soon become revolutionary in the field of diabetes mellitus treatment.
Timofey Kolesnikov, author of the project: “Everyone reacts differently to illness. Someone is struggling, someone has resigned, someone does not even notice her. We wanted to convey a palette of these emotions in order to draw attention to the complex topic of diabetes, because, unfortunately, not everyone understands the seriousness of this disease."
Yakov Markovich Margolin, General Director of the Clinical Hospital on Yauza, comments on the clinic's participation in the project: “The work of our hospital is based on the inextricable link between medical activities, scientific research and a continuous professional and educational process. Clinical trials for the treatment of diabetes at the cellular level are a contribution we make to the health of the next generation. We hope that the powerful emotional photographs created by Timofey Kolesnikov with the participation of famous theater and film actors will raise interest in the topic of diabetes, give impetus to a civilized and scientific approach to the prevention and treatment of this formidable disease!"
