It's time to decide where the wedding banquet will take place. The following proposals were considered: a traditional restaurant hall, a country restaurant in the style of a country manor and the deck of a yacht of one of the city yacht clubs. According to a rough estimate, the options were almost equal, but the tempting version of the snow-white yacht was dropped at the very start due to the fact that it was difficult to predict the weather and immunity of those invited to seasickness. The young, themselves possessing iron health, parted with the idea reluctantly, but promised that they would arrange their wedding anniversary at sea for the young part of the guests. The restaurant hall in the city and the reed canopy over the wooden dance floor outside the city went head to head. In the last meters, the manor won by offering a menu that included homemade smoked and salted fish. The problem of bad weather was easier to solve there, since the restaurant also had a closed hall, which served as the final plus in its asset.

The wedding performance was gradually overgrown with decorations. It was high time to purchase costumes and other wedding props. On a small council, Anya and Dima decided that they would buy a suit for the groom, and that the bride's dress would be rented in one of the city's wedding salons. No sooner said than done. Together with the bride, we went on a tedious trip to the salons. It turned out that the advertising appeals of most of them in reality remain just appeals, behind which there is nothing. Well, almost nothing. You can't call a dozen old worn-out dresses a decent baggage of a wedding salon ?! Almost in despair, we accidentally stumbled upon the newly opened rental of evening and wedding dresses, which was just preparing its exposition and, listening to the wishes of customers, brought dresses to order, without multiplying their price by ten. Here Anyuta managed to choose an elegant outfit without unnecessary ruffles and "flashlight" sleeves. So short and simple it is just written, in fact, the process of choosing a dress dragged on for a couple of weeks and was accompanied by tears and tantrums when looking at what was taken out for fitting in different establishments that called themselves "bridal fashion salons". I, by a sinful thing, was afraid that the planned wedding celebration was about to burst and the groom and the bride would modestly register at the registry office and go to rest somewhere in the Maldives instead of all this hassle. Isn't it an option, by the way?

But to the credit of the young, and they passed this test. The rings were bought very quickly. Realizing that even an insignificant content of diamond chips on a ring increases its price two to three times, and a ring with a stone over 1 carat will "pull" a thousand or more American banknotes, we settled on ordinary smooth rings of 585 assay value. From the wedding requisites of the bride and groom, it remains to purchase a bouquet and "faces", that is, to organize the hairstyles for both and make-up for the bride. There were no problems with the bouquet, since the taste of a florist from a flower shop near the house satisfied discerning young people, and the summer month allowed using any flowers for a bouquet without burdening it with an exorbitant cost. Hairstyle and makeup also did not cause trouble - a preliminary session with the master helped to choose the best option.

Apparently, the bride and groom have become skilled in the battle with wedding chores and the question of gifts was solved instantly. They drew up a list of desired gifts in advance and handed it over to us and the parents. Having distributed the gifts among themselves, the guests were not nervous about the three sets and five teapots. Those who were undecided were asked to give envelopes with banknotes.

The problem of transportation and accommodation of the guests, as well as the organization of photo and video filming, were taken over by the parents of the young people, who finally believed in what was happening, so that all that was left was to choose a toastmaster and prepare souvenirs for the festive contests. Choosing a toastmaster was somewhat like choosing a wedding dress. Two days later, in the heads of the artistic council, all the texts, contests, music programs and their leaders were mixed into one unbearably long and in places repetitive program, the host of which I wanted to bury according to Harris's recipe - with comic verses on the grave. Here faithful friends came to the rescue - members of the KVN team, who attracted their authors to write the original script for the wedding. And I must say, the authors did not disappoint. The most pleasant toastmaster was persuaded to hold a wedding according to the clients' script and did not regret it. Jokes and contests that were not overwritten by anyone were greeted by the guests with a bang.

But that later. And now the wedding Christmas Eve is still going on - the moments of the last preparations and the coordination of all sorts of issues that still will not be resolved one hundred percent. In these moments, loving mothers and bridesmaids, in the literal sense of the word, caught every sneeze of the bride and groom. After all, following the omen, if the bride sneezes in the morning on the eve of the wedding, then she will be happy in marriage. The groom has studied all the puddles in the bride's area in advance, so as not to enter into any accidentally, otherwise the bride will live with a bitter drunkard. And the parents secretly put grain and coins in the shoes of the young, wishing a rich life.

That's all. The bride sneezed at the right time, the groom walked to her entrance on dry land, the parents blessed the young and the wedding chores so tiresome and so pleasant ended in a noisy celebration.
