But the tendency is curious - the moment of the first intimacy in a girl's life comes later and later. Our older sisters said goodbye to innocence when they were six months - a year younger - again, according to statistics. Is the sexual revolution canceled?

The reason for such widespread morality should be sought primarily in the media. Aren't they the whole decades since the moment when a person with HIV infection was found in Russia, do not get tired of warning us about AIDS, syphilis, gonorrhea and other misfortunes? Aren't they, with enviable regularity, publishing "horror stories" about innocent sheep, who, due to inexperience, "flew" from their first man, and with all intimate details promote safe sex? And, probably, every youth media outlets considered it their duty to instill that the first night is an extremely important event, so "God forbid, girls, to rush recklessly into the arms of a guy, treat the first night with care." Good advice, right? But here is the opinion of the one who followed this advice.

So when should you say goodbye to childhood? Doctors advise: 17-20 years is exactly the age when the hymen is most elastic and the loss of virginity is the least painful. If earlier, there will be a lot of pain and blood, since the body has not yet formed. If later, then again the inconvenience, because the hymen begins to grow over time, and, purely psychologically, it is more difficult to decide on sex with a man.

17-20 - these are the years when the girl is already ready to take a responsible approach to contraception, and to the possible consequences of intimacy, and to the first man too. In other words, if their relationship ends with a bed, she will not hang herself, while at 15-16 years old, the gap is perceived more painfully. An adult girl already has something "behind her soul", she is already a person. And she has a chance to become a woman not only physiologically, but also emotionally.

In fact, sex does not paint 15-year-olds. Experts advising female girls in youth centers notice that they, like early blooming roses, will not stand in a vase for a long time. They have lost their "childishness", but have not yet acquired "adulthood"; they have a lot of older partners and many of these partners. No wonder they are called "early ripening", "youngsters". Society is intolerant of girls who have sex since school, and probably for good reason. It is too scary to read how many abortions are performed by minors annually, how many children are left in infant homes and how many schoolchildren and schoolgirls are tested positive for AIDS every year.

I would not want to strike at morality, and indeed this is not about that. After all, the man who makes (or made) you a woman is probably not the best man in the world. He's just your first. It's about when is it "time". Advocates of early sex cite the example of the natives of New Guinea, where every girl, upon reaching the age of 11, is ritually deflorated by the leader of the tribe. And in some tribes - all other men are "marked" after him. But I'll tell you: Europeans should not borrow the experience of savages. So we will soon begin to walk in some loincloths.

On the other hand, it is also not worth waiting for one and only one to a ripe old age. From the height of my successful first sexual experience, I will allow myself to say - in the question of "that very age" you need to have your head on your shoulders and not listen too much to other people's advice, be it the advice of a youth magazine or your own mother. By the way, you can also ignore this advice of mine. The main thing, girls, always have a condom with you!
