The attitude towards workaholics in modern society is twofold. They "burn" at work, which, according to the prevailing stereotypes, does not reflect in the best way on their personal lives. However, this is not at all the case, say American scientists. According to the assurances of experts, men who strive to be the best at work transfer this quality to their intimate life.

Several thousand women took part in the survey conducted by American experts. More than half of the respondents said that the best lovers, in their opinion, are workaholics, reports MIGnews.com.

Women note that men-workaholics are active and attentive in bed, they know how to bring their partners to the peak of sexual pleasure better than others.

Psychologists explain this trend by the idealist-perfectionist complex, which is inherent in such representatives of the stronger sex. Meanwhile, some experts urge not to make hasty conclusions. According to psychologist Debbie Ten, workaholic men can be sexually active, but they lose the emotional component of sex, so important in the relationship between a man and a woman.

Canadian researchers have a similar point of view. Thus, almost half of the enthusiastic careerists they surveyed admitted that they were unable to separate their personal life and work. In particular, they constantly break down on loved ones if they are in trouble at work. Also, workaholics give their soul mates many other unpleasant moments related to work.

The “high status stress” that occurs among those who “have achieved a lot” in life takes their personal space and prevents the development of harmonious relationships with the opposite sex.

Lead author Rabin Kozhinsen hypothesizes that the reasons for the change in the division of work and personal life may be due to the movement towards increased individualization at the social level, as well as due to the growing importance of developing and maintaining personal and professional ties throughout life.
