The coming winter can be associated with the expectation of a miracle and a romantic mood on the eve of the New Year, or it can remind of hair problems.

Changes in temperature and humidity are harmful to hair and provoke the appearance of various problems, such as dryness, dandruff, hair loss and many others. In addition, if you did not really listen to the advice of professionals and did not hide your hair from the scorching sunlight, your hair needs special attention all the more. So here are some ideas on how to get your hair ready for a long season of hats.

1. Get a haircut

The first step is to get rid of split ends. Hair ends damaged after the warm season will no longer recover. This part of the hair is the easiest to damage, so the ends should be trimmed every two months to maintain a neat look. It is also a great way to strengthen and heal your hair. If you are, in principle, ready for experiments, cut your hair. At the same time, talk with the master in advance which hats you prefer to wear. Then he will be able to offer you such a haircut option that will look good with a hat and at the same time not lose its appearance after you take off the hat.

2. Use oils and natural ingredients

This advice applies not only to winter, but in general to the entire cold period of the year, because at this time the hair for nourishment, more than ever, requires natural elements. This is especially important for dry and sunburned hair. By using natural products, especially oils, you will prevent further dryness of your hair and scalp.

Avoid using synthetic products or products containing alcohol, as they damage the natural protective layer and interfere with the normal nourishment of your hair.

Vegetable oils can help you care for your hair. Add a few drops to your shampoo and your hair will transform. You can also apply some oil to the ends of your hair while it is still damp.

3. Add color

During the summer, the hair fade, so in the fall we notice the difference in the color of the roots and ends. It can look really pretty while creating a natural ombre effect. If your hair is too burned out, use a high quality tinted shampoo.

Top-notch dyes will benefit split ends because they not only color the hair, but also restore the hair structure.

4. Purchase thermal protection products

If you have not yet had such a tool in your arsenal and you have not heard of its existence, it is high time (winter) to fill this gap. Summer hairstyles do not require much effort, after all, you can go outside with your hair not yet completely dry - it will dry out like that. But in cold weather, a hairdryer, curling iron and iron are used especially often. This damages the hair a lot, so invest in a good protective product. It will not only preserve hair, but also prolong the life of styling.

5. Choose a brightening shampoo

In winter, hair becomes oily faster due to the many chemicals used. In addition, the chlorine content of tap water usually rises towards winter. To avoid harmful consequences, sign up for a lightening in the salon. If you can't afford it, choose a good brightening shampoo. It is enough to use it once every two weeks, and your hair will become clean and shiny. However, this shampoo is powerful, so use it carefully on colored hair.

6. Moisturize

We all know how dry skin becomes in the cold season. The same happens with hair. In winter, hair needs more moisture to adapt to temperature changes. Deep moisturizing is especially good after using a brightening shampoo, as after it the hair will not be heavy and oily. Moisturizing is essential for unmanageable hair, which we encounter especially in cold weather.

Masks and conditioners with jojoba oil are great for moisturizing and preventing dandruff.

7. Pick up a hat

Few people risk going outside on a cold winter morning without a hat. Men usually do not have problems, women often press their hair to their heads, which ends up in a ruined hairstyle and mood.

The means that increase the volume will help to save the styling. Sprays and mousses are a must if you want to look good after caps. Winter is a great time for ponytails and braids. Such hairstyles are easy to do and do not deteriorate from the headdress. Woolen hats and scarves are best avoided due to static electricity, which is difficult to get rid of.

8. Try a massage

This advice may sound a little odd, but massage is what you need in the cold season. Massaging your scalp improves blood circulation, hair growth, and you will quickly see the difference. Essential oils and a natural brush work well for this procedure. 10 minutes of massage before bed will help you relax and fall asleep faster.

Undoubtedly, these tips are suitable for any time of the year, and most of them are well known. But in autumn and winter, they will come in especially handy and will help to cope with unruly hair.
