Start with chairs

Here, for example, how do you serve forks, spoons and knives? Let us guess: if you do not adhere to strict rules - "naked", that is, without a special case for devices, in other cases - in a paper or cloth napkin. And poorly serve in … a tree ?! The candle was burning on the table …

The last night of December deserves chic, splendor and romance. How can we do without candles ?! With them, you can transform any festive table - you just need to choose the right candlesticks … or rather: the wrong ones. Try, for example, using glasses for other purposes.

A way for lovers of simple solutions: turn it upside down, placing a spruce or rowan branch inside, and use the flat part of the leg as a base for a candle. The implementation is effortless, the effect is amazing.

A way for those who like more difficult tasks: we arm ourselves with cardboard, scissors, glue, semolina (it is an imitation of snow), figurines of deer, Christmas trees, houses. We cut circles from cardboard with a diameter slightly larger than the neck of the dishes used. We glue the figures to the resulting paper bases. Pour "snow" into glasses, cover them with homemade lids and turn them over. We fix the candle on the leg. We receive a candlestick combined with a classic New Year's souvenir. A kind of ball with snow - mysterious, fabulous, authentic.

However, not by glasses alone … the originality of the candles is given by different things. For example, cinnamon sticks. It would seem that it is much simpler - a candle of large diameter, a "fence" of spices, fixed with a string, an ordinary saucer as a base. But the result is impressive. The feeling is that a venerable designer has worked. Several of these art candles, placed on the table, create a unique atmosphere, and everything else looks just like their addition.

Edible decor

It's no secret that on the night of December to January a marathon of satisfying gluttonous passions starts. And the New Year's table is assessed by the guests primarily for its gastronomic characteristics. But what about the decorating efforts? We, the hostesses, want recognition and this undoubted talent of ours. The way out is simple - let's combine aesthetics and cooking - unusual dishes will help us out! We turn on the imagination, and voila - a plate-ice floe with a flock of edible penguins appears on the table. To prepare a snack, you only need olives, soft cheese, carrots, green onions and toothpicks. It's simple: we cut the carrots into circles (these are future legs), cut off small triangles from each (future beaks), then cut part of the olives along and stuff them with cheese (these are the bodies). We attach the remaining fruits (heads) to the bodies and legs with a toothpick, insert the beaks, tie scarves (green onions) and send the birds to a table swimming.

Someone will say that flightless representatives of birds are not the best New Year's symbol. And we will not argue. Christmas tree is so Christmas tree. But only not prickly, but soft: a little cupcakes, a little cream, a little fruit - it will be impossible to come off … and not only with a glance.

Not experts in cooking? Please! There are even simpler options - we buy ready-made cakes and decorate the plate correctly: we sketch a Christmas tree with syrup, "hang" toys-berries on it. In general, it will be possible to surprise the guests in any case!
