The frequency of meals should be 5 to 7 times. In the acute period, the number of calories should be no more than 1600 kcal. per day. It is also important to drink at least 2.5 liters of water every day.

The only difference in the diet of patients with removed stones is that they can completely starve for the first few days. Fruits and berries are limited until the patient is in remission. From time to time, he can allow himself to use a baked apple, pear, only non-acidic varieties. Sweets are not welcome. In order not to feel cravings for such products, you can resort to all sorts of tricks, for example, adding a spoonful of honey to tea.
Butter can only be put in cereals in an amount of no more than 10 g.
From drinks, weak tea with honey or a teaspoon of sugar, rosehip broth are allowed. Gradually, you can add homemade jelly to this.
Recommendations for patients with chronic cholecystitis
Depending on the initial data, as well as on how accurately the patient complied with the prescribed requirements, he can either recover completely from cholecystitis or acquire it in a chronic form. If there was a second case, then you will have to follow certain rules that will prevent overloading of the gallbladder and liver, and also help to avoid thickening of bile and the formation of stones in the future.
What advice can be given to people with chronic cholecystitis:
- Observe fractional meals and consume no more than 300 g of food at a time.
- Do not get carried away with high-calorie food, especially on holidays, make sure that your menu turns out to be no more than 2,500 calories.
- On average, the amount of fat should be no more than 80 g per day. The amount of proteins should be about the same. The carbohydrate content of a meal should be approximately 400 g.
- Be careful with salt. It is better to cook an absolutely bland dish, which is subsequently salted by each separately for himself. A pinch of salt in a bowl of soup or a bowl of porridge will do the trick.
- Drink at least 2 liters of water.
- If you want to stay healthy for a long time, love the steamed food! Such dishes should form the basis of the menu in the presence of gallstones. In order to make your meals more varied, steam the casseroles by adding finely chopped or, even better, pureed vegetables, cereals and cottage cheese.
- Avoid tough meats and vegetables.
With chronic cholecystitis, you can afford a dietary version of the vinaigrette, which does not contain onions, pickled cucumbers and beans. Berries and fruits are allowed, but only sweet. As for eggs, it is better not more than 1 per day. The preferred processing option involves the preparation of a steam omelet.
