Last year, the famous ballet dancer Nikolai Tsiskaridze was fired from the Bolshoi Theater with a scandal and announced the end of his dancing career. Now he acts as the rector of the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet, but his artistic talent haunts the star. Reportedly, Nikolai Konstantinovich returns to the stage. Now he takes part in rehearsals of the play "A Vain Precaution" at the Mikhailovsky Theater.

The premiere of "Vain Precaution" is scheduled for March 27, 28 and 29. The main roles are played by actors Oksana Bondareva, Angelina Vorontsova, Anastasia Soboleva (as Liza), Ivan Vasiliev, Ivan Zaitsev, Viktor Lebedev (as Colin).

According to the plot of the play, the venerable French farmer is surrounded by her cheating daughter Lisa and her beloved Colin. The ballet is based on the plot about how the peasant woman Lisa manages to reunite with her lover against the will of her mother, who hoped to marry her daughter to a rich neighbor.

“The role of the enterprising widow Simon is traditionally played by men. The premiere in this role will be performed by choreographer Michael O'Hare, who has mastered the stylistic features of the choreography in direct collaboration with Frederick Ashton. People's Artist of Russia Nikolai Tsiskaridze and artist of our troupe Roman Petukhov are also rehearsing the part of the widow,”the press service of the theater said.

Representatives of the theater did not specify whether Nikolai Konstantinovich will appear on the stage. But fans of the artist believe that such a surprise can be expected from Tsiskaridze.

True, in January, when asked by journalists if he was going to continue his dancing career, Tsiskaridze replied that he had not rehearsed since July last year and felt excellent in a new capacity. “I have carried this watch honestly for 21 years,” concluded the master.
