On January 10, it became known that Yevgeny Plushenko was hospitalized in the neurosurgical department of one of the medical institutions in the capital. After the presentation of the ice show, the skater began to have severe back pain and he turned to doctors for help. A little earlier, Plushenko intended to fly to Israel in order to solve his health problems there. However, due to the busy schedule, back pain only intensified and the skater decided not to postpone treatment indefinitely, turning to domestic specialists.

According to Yevgeny's wife, Yana Rudkovskaya, at present the athlete's condition is quite stable and he is already on the mend. The more famous producer did not add anything, since she believes that the whole situation that has developed is exclusively a family matter. The athlete himself did not comment on his admission to the hospital. By the way, this is not the first operation for Evgeny on the spine. So, a few years ago Plushenko received an implant to replace one of the intervertebral discs.
