Jewelers create a unique diamond ring

The Swiss firm Shawish Jewelry has unveiled a luxurious diamond ring. Not impressed? Now imagine that the jewelry is cut from a solid diamond. And nothing superfluous like a gold or platinum bezel.

To date, the most luxurious diamond rings have been the 18-carat R'n'B Queen Beyonce, presented to Jay-Z in honor of their engagement, and the 30-carat diamond ring given by Elizabeth Taylor.) Richard Burton.

To date, the largest (and most famous) diamond is the Cullinan, which crowns the scepter of the Queen of Great Britain. The 3106-carat diamond was found in 1905. But compared to Shawish Jewelry, this is just a small thing. The jewelry is created from a 150-carat diamond. It took the company's jewelers almost a year to create the ring, conceived by the executive president of Shawish, Mohamed Shawesh. As specified, the specialists, along with traditional cutting and polishing techniques, used laser technology. In fact, jewelers risked losing the stone. Therefore, special equipment was made that can change the molecular structure of a diamond.

According to media estimates, the diamond ring is worth at least $ 20 million. It remains only to guess who will become its happy owner.

The jewelry was first presented at the Baselworld 2012 exhibition in Switzerland last month. The second show of the unique ring will take place in London this May.
