Film "On the Game": When Virtuality Is Real

This week's action adventure is Pavel Sanaev's film "On the Game", which has been in the cinema since November 26. This is a picture about gamers, based on the novel by Alexander Chubaryan "Games of Life". After the pre-premiere screenings of the film, critics, in general, agreed that "At the Game" is, if not a masterpiece, but a live movie, with a good game of young actors and healthy, not greasy jokes.

The plot is as follows - a company of gamers wins an e-sports tournament and receives discs with the latest game. And then suddenly their computers fail, and all virtual possibilities become real. Yes! Now gamers just like snipers can shoot accurately and dashingly drive cars, like super-heroes from action movies. But what to do with all these miracles? They have no time to think about this, because some strange dark forces are trying to take control of them. What is left for the players, except how to enlist the support of friends and refuse to participate in the dishonest game?

The film stars Sergei Chirkov, Marina Petrenko, Alexey Bardukov, Agnia Ditkovskite, Pavel Priluchny, Tikhon Zhiznevsky, Evgeny Kharlanov, Nodar Siradze and others.

The shooting took place in Nizhny Novgorod. This is quite unusual, since in youth films, and even more so in fantastic films, the urban landscapes of Moscow are most often used. Director Pavel Sanaev more than once in an interview thanked the authorities of Nizhny for the fact that they allowed to close off almost the entire city for filming chases with shooting and overturning cars.
