As the director of planning for HBO studio Michael Lombardo told reporters, there were earlier rumors that the project would be limited to seven seasons, but this is not the case. Viewers will definitely see three more, and it is likely that the writers will find the strength to continue working. “David and Dan are ready to work for another two years. I always hope that they will change their minds, but I think this is the case now,”Lombardo said.

As noted by the tabloids, "Game of Thrones" is criticized due to the saturation of scenes of murder and violence, including sexual. Lombardo explained that an element of violence runs through the entire series from the very beginning, and the producers are careful and try not to go beyond the boundaries of the narrative.

He also commented on rumors of a possible "resurrection" of the assassinated popular character Jon Snow. Lombardo categorically declared that the hero was dead.

Let's remind that today "Game of Thrones" is one of the largest budget projects on television and the most expensive in the fantasy genre. The series was nominated twice for an Emmy and won a Hugo Award for Best Production. This year the project is nominated for 24 Emmy awards (the most prestigious American award in the field of television), including the most important one - For Best Series.
