The Victoria and Albert Museum in London has opened an exhibition "Kylie", dedicated, as the name suggests, to the Australian pop star Kylie Minogue. The exhibition is based on a collection of costumes, awards and accessories that Kylie herself donated to the Melbourne Art Center in 2003. The Kylie Minogue collection in Melbourne contains about 600 items, many of which are made by the world's leading fashion designers.

From February 8 to June 10, the outfits familiar to the public from films, clips and stage performances of the beauty Kylie will be presented for review: from the work pants in which she starred in the Australian TV series "Neighbors" to tiny golden shorts from a suit for video "Spinning Around".

In total, more than 200 memorabilia of the singer were exhibited, including a simple white dress from the video for the song "I Should Be So Lucky" (1987) and a one-piece suit with a hood, in which she could be seen in the video "Can't Get You out of My Head”in 2001. Also on display are outfits from Kylie's latest Showgirl: Homecoming tour. All suits "show off" black headless mannequins.

The exposition is divided into six thematic sections - "Music and Video", "On Stage", "On Tour", "Image", "Icon" and "Behind the Scene". In the "Image" section, the museum presents the works of more than 25 photographers who took pictures of the singer for various publications. On the eve of the opening of the exhibition, a private viewing of the exposition was arranged especially for Kylie. After examining the exhibition, Minogue could not contain her emotions. “I can't believe that mirror balls and all this glittering luxury are in the Victoria and Albert Museum. It's just amazing!”- said the pop star.

It should be noted that this is not the first time that the Victoria and Albert Museum has collaborated with the world of fashion and glamor. Since 2004, the museum has hosted one-day parties in honor of various British fashion designers.

Long before the opening, there was a lot of excitement around the Kylie exhibition. For the first time in its practice, the museum even had to introduce a system of advance booking of invitation tickets. More than 3500 fans of the pop diva have already taken advantage of this opportunity, having paid for their trip to the exhibition in advance.
