Irish singer Sinéad O'Connor has been delighting the audience for many years not only with her music, but also with a very original image. As a matter of fact, Sinead has always been against convention. And preparing for the release of the new, tenth in a row, solo album, she did not betray herself.

In August, the star is preparing to present a disc titled I'm Not Bossy, I'm The Boss (translated as "I'm not bossy, I'm a boss"). And today Sinead presented the first promo photo of the album, where she was captured with an unusual hairstyle for her. We have long been accustomed to the performer's clean-shaven head, but O'Connor once again did not deny herself the pleasure of destroying the stereotype: for the sake of promotion, she put on a wig and a spectacular black PVC dress.

The year before last, the star had serious health problems. O'Connor was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Sinead even tried to commit suicide. But in the end she pulled herself together.

As Sinead told the press, at first she planned to name the new disc The Vishnu Room, but a few months before the release was inspired by the Ban Bossy campaign calling to stop using the definition of bossy (in translation: domineering lady, commander) in relation to successful women. As American observers wittily noted, it is now clear to everyone who is the boss.

“I found out about the Ban Bossy campaign a few months ago and really regretted not being able to rename my new album, as everything was already ready for printing the covers. But the recording studio went to meet me. I turned out to be a lucky girl, - said the singer. - Indeed, being a boss woman is very difficult. And I think this is a really important campaign."
