On December 17, the Luzhniki Sports Palace will host the premiere of the mystical ice show Dracula. The Story of Eternal Love , based on the immortal novel by the cult Irish novelist Bram Stoker.
The script and libretto was written by Tatyana Bogatyreva, known for her work on the ice musicals Princess Anastasia and Alice in Wonderland on Ice. Choreographer-director - Stanislav Voytyuk, famous director of world ice shows, including Imperial Ice Stars, Russian Ice Rtars, choreographer of programs for Irina Slutskaya. The composer of the production is Alexei Galinsky - the author of soundtracks for the films "Fight with the Shadow 3", "The Dark World", the author of the music for the ice shows "Princess Anastasia", "Alice in Wonderland", "The Nutcracker and the Lord of Darkness". Alexey also became the author of the work "Olympia", written specifically for the figure skating demonstration performances at the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi.
The main roles in "Dracula" are played by figure skaters - soloists of world ice shows. The image of Mina is embodied by the bronze medalist of the 2012 Russian Championship, the 2009 Russian champion among juniors and the silver medalist of the 2009 world junior championship Anastasia Martyusheva, in the role of Dracula - the winner of the Grand Prix series among juniors Konstantin Gavrin.
In the coming 2017, Bram Stoker's novel "Dracula" will be exactly 120 years old, and the writer himself will be 170 years old.
Brief plot of the production:
End of the 19th century, London. Young lawyer Jonathan Harker and his beloved Mina are about to get married. But, on duty, Jonathan is forced to leave his bride alone for a while and go to Transylvania to a strange elderly count who wants to buy real estate in London … This is where all the fun begins …
During the performance, viewers will see the most complex elements of figure skating, circus acts, flights "under the Luzhniki dome", large-scale video installations, as well as stylized scenery and bright costumes that personify the era and images of the heroes of that time.
