On October 18, Stage Entertainment, together with Disney, will present the world-famous Beauty and the Beast musical to the capital's audience. This year will be a jubilee for the production - exactly 20 years ago, the world premiere of "Beauty and the Beast" took place on Broadway. And very soon, a beautiful romantic story will come to life again on the Moscow stage, at the Rossiya Theater on Pushkin Square.
The musical was a success in Moscow from 2008 to 2010. The production was very popular. It featured artists Natalia Bystrova, Viktor Dobronravov, Honored Artist of Russia Ekaterina Guseva, People's Artist of Russia Philip Kirkorov as a guest star and many others.

“During the rental of Beauty and the Beast, we regularly received letters with enthusiastic responses from the audience and their sincere gratitude. But we could not even imagine how upset they would be when they learned about the end of the rental in Moscow in the summer of 2010! - says the producer of the musical, the head of the Stage Entertainment company Dmitry Bogachev. “All these years the audience has been persistently asking to return the musical, and we decided to give a present to those who love this beautiful performance and those who are not familiar with it in the anniversary year for the musical.”
Recall that the plot of the musical was based on the Disney cartoon of 1991 - the story of Belle, a young girl from a provincial town, and the Beast, in whose body a prince enchanted by an evil fairy languishes. The musical (which became one of the most profitable in the history of Broadway) was staged in 22 countries and translated into 8 languages, with a total audience worldwide of over 35 million people!
