By all standards of modern show business, high-profile PR directly affects the profitability of the project. However, in most cases, the classic rules of economics still apply in life. This is the conclusion reached by the authoritative edition of Forbes, which discovered that the most profitable actress in Hollywood is not Angelina Jolie or Jennifer Aniston. The title of the most profitable went to the Australian shy Naomi Watts. The actress cannot boast of huge fees, but films with her participation have the highest rate of return.

Forbes analysts reviewed the salaries of 100 Hollywood actresses and the box office receipts of their films. And it turned out that for every dollar the 41-year-old Watts was paid to shoot in the last three films, there was $ 44 in box office profits.

It is curious that Naomi's close friend, Hollywood star Nicole Kidman, unlike Watts, regularly appears in the rating of the most overrated stars. So, last year it turned out that paintings with Kidman's participation barely earn a dollar for every dollar of her royalties. And the picture "Australia", on which not only Nicole had pinned their hopes, but also the director Baz Luhrmann, did a disgraceful failure at the box office.

She is followed by Jennifer Connelly ($ 41) and Rachel McAdams ($ 30). And famous ladies like Jennifer Aniston ($ 26) and Halle Berry ($ 23) are only fifth and sixth, respectively.

Forbes notes that not such actresses as Angelina Jolie were included in the list, who ensures a stable interest of the press and viewers in any project, but still does not justify the $ 10 million paid to her. On the contrary, the top lines of the rating are occupied by actresses who are paid relatively little by Hollywood standards - 5 million or less, which allows them to have a high return on investment.
