Charlotte Rampling suspected black stars of racism

In Hollywood, the debate over the Academy Awards nominees continues. Black stars accuse academics of racism, as this year's main nominations feature exclusively white artists. But now blacks were suspected of racism.

Well-known British actress Charlotte Rampling told reporters that the boycott of the Oscars, which was one of the first to call for actress and producer Jada Pinkett Smith, is very much like a manifestation of racism.

“At the Oscars, people of color often entertain the audience and give out awards, but our acting achievements are rarely recognized. Maybe all blacks should refrain from participating [in the ceremony]? People are treating us the way we let them,”Smith said earlier.

"This is anti-white racism. Perhaps none of the black actors deserved to be on the shortlist," said the actress.

When asked how she assesses the possibility of establishing quotas for minorities when nominating nominees for the Oscar, Rampling replied: “Why divide people? We now live in countries where almost anyone is accepted. There is always a way to create problems: "he is too beautiful", "he is too black", "he is too white". There will always be someone who says, "You're too …" What are we going to do? Do we want to classify everyone in order to create thousands of small minorities all over the place?"

By the way, Charlotte Rampling was nominated for an Oscar this year for her role in the film 45 Years.
