women in the army

It would seem that the concepts of Woman and War are incompatible. One gives life, the other takes it. How is it possible to combine strength and weakness, faith and despair, fear and courage, joy and horror, and the feeling of constant pain and eternally awaiting loss. Is a woman in the army the norm or an exception? We talked about this with Lieutenant Colonel 6699 of the military unit of Kursk, Vladimir Ivanovich Yarov.

- Those who enter the service in our unit conclude a contract, which, in particular, stipulates the readiness to travel to any hot spot. A woman joining the army realizes that she takes on completely different responsibilities than in civilian conditions … But we go to the meeting as much as we can, we understand that there are children, sick parents, and there are other problems. Naturally, we take all this into account when we form the next batch, which we send on a business trip.

- There are, on average, 5-6 of them in our battalion. These are mainly medical workers, cooks and warehouse managers.

- They are unlikely to get under a mine, because they are without a break. But they can fire. But we try to protect them and not send them anywhere in risky business. They are located at a temporary deployment point and practically never go anywhere, with rare exceptions.

- We don't.

- The salary is provided for by the decree of the government of our state, and it, of course, is much higher than in ordinary, peaceful, conditions. But, for example, to date, the money that they should have received there, they have not yet received. There is simply no money.

- They have a separate tent in which the women live. This is a place where they can wash themselves, put themselves in order, etc. If it's summer, there are showers in which you can wash at any time. There was enough water. If it's winter, each tent has a stove and a sufficient amount of firewood and coal.

- Well, this is an outdated concept - field mail. There are telegrams that go on for several hours. We pass them on. Of course, you can use open air, but you can't tell everything there. And so - through closed communication channels. After all, being in Chechnya you worry about those who stayed at home. In civilian life, a family, children, mother … Letters, there they are, now let's go, take them, give them back. We travel several times a month. There are, of course, difficulties in this. And so, in general, everyone correctly understands and performs the tasks that stand and return here, rest a little and start again. Some"

- The big problem is to maintain your figure, to return as slender as you went there. Usually, the food there is enhanced, and this is a problem for women.

- Unfortunately, today we must state that we cannot do without women in the army either. There are some positions that a woman performs better than a man. Therefore, we have a lot of them. Not because there is such an urgent need, but also the reason lies in the fact that we do not live "easily": it is difficult to find a job in civilian life, especially a worthy profession that would not only bring satisfaction, but also allow us to live comfortably. We have many wives of officers and warrant officers. We accept them, because they have nowhere to go, who will help them if not us?

- No. This is my purely personal position. I think I can provide for my family myself.

- That they never went on such business trips. Were next to their loved ones. So that they had someone to love, so that there was someone to love them. So that they would be complimented not only on birthdays and March 8th. And so that their men have the opportunity, and it probably only depends on them, to provide them with such a life.

War is like war. They kill, fraternize, eat, save people, wash footcloths, even marry, in general, they live. But everyone has their own war. Olga Anatolyevna Bugrova, major of the medical service, was on a business trip in Chechnya three times. During the service, he sees only increased attention and kindness to himself. She says that during the first campaign in Chechnya, there was only one woman in the battalion, she lived in honey. tent with soldiers. Coincidentally, she had to celebrate her birthday, March 8, in the war. It would seem that there is no time for the holidays, but men are still surprised how they managed to bake a cake in completely incredible conditions. Everyone congratulated, it is more important there. After all, every day can be the last. In the first Chechen women were not taken into intelligence, and now they are. There are several sisters in the medical unit, and they alternate. When you ask, and you don’t want to feel like a weak, not a strong woman, at least sometimes, Olga Anatolyevna smiles. He says that, oddly enough, you feel it not there, but here. He believes that to be a military man, you need to have a strong enough character. Let's wish this sweet, strong woman in the uniform of a major honey. parts to survive on their own and help others in this.
