For three weeks now, a protest action has been taking place in Kiev against the policy of the current president of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych. During this time, many stars, both local and Russian, have visited the main square of the Ukrainian capital, Maidan Nezalezhnosti. I could not deny myself the pleasure of visiting Kiev and TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak. Judging by the posts of the star on social networks, those who gathered on the Maidan made a rather pleasant impression on her.

Actually, the main purpose of the celebrity's visit to Kiev was interviewing the Klitschko brothers. Now Vitali Klitschko acts as the leader of the Udar political party. So Sobchak quite carefully asked the athlete about his political ambitions. After the conversation, Xenia was offered to take a walk around the Euromaidan. Of course, the journalist did not refuse.

“There are thousands of people on the Maidan right now! Everyone has a very positive attitude! They cook borscht, smile:) No metal detectors. The barricades were erected again, but the people are smiling and peaceful, - Sobchak wrote on her Twitter account. - And don't believe about Russophobia. Everyone greeted me like a native. They don't like Russia, they just want to be a part of European values … And I understand them:))”.

Ksenia noted the good level of organization of the Protestants, and the Euromaidan participants invited her to perform on stage. “I, of course, refused, although it’s a good action to go out and shout:“Russia will be free”:),” explained the TV presenter, who at one time was a rather prominent activist of the opposition movement in Russia.

We will remind that earlier Sobchak's ex-girlfriend, ballerina Anastasia Volochkova, visited the Maidan. However, the protest made a painful impression on her. “Having visited Kiev, of course, I was on the Maidan … And I could not remain indifferent … But I will not post a single photo of this horror … In spite of everything … So that you do not again accuse me of taking a picture against the background of the trouble … Learn everything from the media … Although all this is more than horrible… And tragic,”Volochkova wrote.
