The first Russian mono-brand boutique of the legendary Burberry brand has opened in Stoleshnikov Lane. One of the symbols of the British Empire, the Burberry name is synonymous with stability, innate aristocracy and the highest quality.

The history of the Burberry brand begins in 1856, when Thomas Burberry opened an outerwear store in Basingstoke, Hampshire. When Captain Roald Amundsen became the first person to reach the South Pole on December 14, 1911, he was wearing Burberry gear. The first Burberry trench coat appeared in 1901 and was designed by the founder of the brand for the needs of the British army, but the famous Burberry black-red-white-beige check appeared on the lining of trench coats only in 1924.
In the 50s and 60s, the Burberry name is closely associated with the romantic images of the cult tapes of Hollywood: who knows, the famous “Casablanca” would have become so famous if Humphrey Bogart's masculinity was not emphasized by the silhouette of a Burberry trench coat. The legendary Burberry trench coats are notable heroes in films such as Tomorrow at Tiffany's with Audrey Hepburn and The Pink Panther with Peter Stellers. In recognition of the highest craftsmanship and unsurpassed quality of clothing from Burberry, the title of the official supplier of Her Majesty the Queen, received by the brand in 1955. The high status of Burberry was confirmed by the title of the official supplier of His Highness the Prince of Wales, received by the brand in the new millennium - in 2002.
Burberry currently offers two collections of clothing. Burberry Prorsum presented at Milan Fashion Week: a sophisticated line that serves as the ideological basis for the rest of the firm's designs. The collection of Burberry London, presented in London, is based on the models that are the symbol of the brand.
