Since 1983, Karl has been the artistic director of the famous fashion house. The man turned out to be incredibly creative and hardworking. Instead of one ready-to-wear collection, he always presented two at once to the fans of the Chanel brand.

He became the living personification of the brand, worthily replacing Coco herself in this post. The last year was difficult for the man. He often complained of poor health and wrote his will six months ago.

His colleagues knew that the fashion designer was getting worse every day. When Karl didn’t show up for the two collections in January 2019, the press started talking that the creative director’s health was poor. However, the press service of the Chanel house assured journalists that he was just tired and that is why he could not attend the shows.

On February 19, the media received an official message that Karl Lagerfeld had died. The man died of natural causes as a result of a long illness. Over the past few weeks, friends and colleagues have visited him. Naomi Campbell also came to visit Karl. In narrow circles, they were well aware that the fashion designer would soon be gone.

Exactly when the funeral will take place and where the farewell ceremony will take place has not been announced.
