The 38-year-old actress appeared on Monday night at the Metropolitan Opera, which hosted the American Ballet Theater show. Katie Holmes appeared accompanied by 12-year-old daughter Suri.

Katie wore a floral-print bodycon dress from her good friend Zach Posen, while Suri wore a long dress with a similar pattern. The mother and daughter were photographed as they left Lincoln Center.

It is worth noting that Katie rarely appears at social events with her daughter. The actress tries to keep her daughter away from cameras.

Suri is the only daughter of Katie Holmes and her ex-husband Tom Cruise, whom she divorced in 2012. Katie chose to live in New York over Los Angeles to keep her daughter out of the Hollywood glitz.
