5. From what date the fifth, summer, longest vacation in Russia begins, determines the age. High school students take exams, test tests can be carried out in lower grades, so the start of summer holidays will be different.
6. All schoolchildren also have additional rest time that they can spend with their parents - these are national holidays and statutory weekends, additional days by decision of the Ministry of Labor - February 23, March 8, May holidays, National Unity Day.

The date from which the beginning of the new school year begins is known to both schoolchildren and parents, because on this day a national holiday is celebrated - September 1, Knowledge Day.

In some secondary educational institutions, especially those that teach children according to an in-depth or specific curriculum, semesters or academic semesters are used instead of the usual school quarters. This means that in gymnasiums and lyceums, spring and autumn holidays may not be provided.

There are discrepancies in the question of how many spring days will begin in individual schools, intended for students' recreation in 2020, as in any other academic period.

In Russia, according to the current legislation, an ordinary secondary educational institution has the right to postpone the date of spring or any other holidays. This right has some restrictions - the transfer cannot be more than two weeks (with the exception of natural disasters, natural disasters and military conflicts in the region).

Even if the date is postponed, no matter from what date the long-awaited vacation started at school, it should not last less than a week. There are other mandatory conditions regulated by the Federal Law on Education.

During the summer, schoolchildren must rest for at least 60 days, and the total duration of all vacation periods combined during the school year cannot exceed 30 days. The problem for parents who do not know when the holidays begin is that each subject of the Federation may have additional instructions or orders, and educational institutions can set their own dates in accordance with the existing charter.
