The biography of Chadwick Boseman remains largely behind the scenes. Very little is known about the personal life of the actor who played the Black Panther, except that he devoted his whole life to cinema and acted to the last, until his death.

Family and childhood

Chadwick Aaron Boseman was born in South Carolina, Anderson, November 29, 1976. The parents of the future actor were as far from theater and cinema as possible.

His father, Leroy, was not a particularly successful entrepreneur who devoted little time to his family. Caroline's mother worked as a nurse and was an extremely religious person.

The Chadwick family was the only child. But he was never lonely because of the huge number of cousins. As the actor himself admitted in an interview, there were more than 100 of them only on the maternal side.

Even at school, the boy decided that he would be an actor, because business and medicine did not attract him at all. The only personal hobby that he retained in his future adult life was basketball: thanks to a fairly high height of 183 cm, Chadwick Boseman had a very good ball control.

But still, sport did not take a central role in his biography because of the tragic experience. His teammate was shot dead by the police, who presented the incident as an accident. Subsequently, the actor even wrote a play dedicated to this event.

And after receiving his basic education, he entered Howard University, subsequently continuing his studies in England at the British Academy of Drama in Oxford. As a result, Cheswick mastered not only the profession of an actor, but also a director and even a screenwriter.

Among the first significant theatrical works of the young artist are: "Romeo and Juliet", "Illegal Blues". He also wrote scripts and made short films trying to find himself while still a student.

Premature death

Chadwick Boseman was a very secretive person. For many years, journalists have not been able to find out anything about his personal life, wife and children. It was believed that the actor simply did not have time to start a family because of the very busy filming schedule. But even more shocking was the fact that a man could hide from everyone for several years that he was terminally ill.

In 2016, due to poor health, Chadwick went to the clinic. He was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. The actor, just reaching the peak of his career, decided that oncology was not a reason to give up.

He continued filming in the MCU, despite the incredible physical activity that he had to regularly experience. In all films since 2016, Boseman has been on the hiatus between chemotherapy and bowel surgery.

The fact that the idol is "devoured" by the disease, the fans began to guess only shortly before his death. They noted that Chadwick looks extremely haggard, but they thought that the reason could be filming in the next film project. And on August 29, 2020, the great actor died.
