At the very beginning of spring, Moscow for four days turned into the center of the world beauty industry. The II International Specialized Exhibition Cosmoprof-ExpoBeauty 2006 was held here from 2 to 5 March at the Expocentre on Krasnaya Presnya.

The theme of the exhibition covered all sectors of the beauty industry: BEAUTY - Cosmetics, perfumes, fashion accessories. PROFESSIONAL BEAUTY - Professional cosmetics and equipment for beauty salons. LOOKS - Professional cosmetics for hair and nail care, accessories and equipment for hairdressing salons and nail studios. PACKAGING - Packaging and equipment for the production of perfumery and cosmetic products.

Within the framework of the exhibition, the III National Nail Art Championship of Russia was organized. Competitions were held in seven nominations, in each of which the best of the best were identified.

On the last day of the forum, the NAILRING nail art blitz tournament took place on the podium. In the improvised ring, "fights" were held in three "weight" categories: light, medium and heavy. Each "fight" consisted of three rounds of 30 minutes each. During this short time, the participants were asked to paint their nails on a given topic.

The competition program ended with the awarding of the winners of the "TA-Y-NA" competition, presented for the first time by the organizers of the forum. Cups and valuable prizes were awarded to masters who managed to create unique nail art works on porcelain hand models. The winner was Natalya Zherdetskaya, an 18 year old master from Volgograd, winner of regional nail art competitions. She improvised on "Beautiful Life"

On March 3, in a separate hall in the Expocentre on Krasnaya Presnya, with the partner support of the VOGUE Arome cigarette brand, the traditional solemn ceremony of announcing the results of the LILU Awards, the national rating of perfume novelties of the year, took place.

A group of independent experts LILU Awards 2006, which included 20 beauty editors from leading Russian glossy magazines, having studied more than 120 new perfumery products officially presented by "luxury" perfume brands on the Russian market during 2005, named the 5 best fragrances for men and 5 the best fragrances for women.

In the men's fragrance category, the winners are:

III place - Black XS PACO RABANNE

IV place - Silver shadow DAVIDOFF

V place - Beyond Paradise ESTEE LAUDER

In the category of fragrances for women, the winners are:

III place - Un Jardin sur le Nil HERMES

IV place - Miss dior cherie DIOR

IV place - Euphoria CALVIN KLEIN

The winners of the LILU Awards 2006 were presented to the guests of the annual solemn ceremony by popular Russian actresses and actors: Anna Bolshova, Irina Grineva, Nonna Grishaeva, Maria Kulikova, Natalia Vdovina, Inga Oboldina, Irina Rakhmanova, Agrippina Steklova, Lyubov Tolkalina, Zhanna Epple; Maxim Averin, Anatoly Bely, Vladimir Bolshov, Anatoly Rudenko, Andrey Chernyshev.

The participants in the artistic part of the ceremony were actresses Irina Grineva, Maria Kulikova, Inga Oboldina, Agrippina Steklova, Zhanna Epple.

The creation of images for the main persons involved in the LILU Awards 2006 Ceremony was carried out by Russian fashion designers Irina Derkach, Inna Kolpashnikova, Olga Polukhina, Sergey Sysoev, Yulia Yanina, famous French fashion designer Gerard Seneas well as a team of makeup artists of the traditional cosmetic partner of the Ceremony - Estee Lauder brands.
