Graduate students are given the opportunity to fully prepare for graduation and pass exams. Isolation of the middle classes will create a more favorable sanitary and hygienic environment in the school.

Situation in the regions

Thus, the decisions about the date from which distance learning will begin in Russian schools, how long the restrictions will last, are made by the local authorities. Restrictions in specific areas:

1. Moscow. Mixed mode - from 9 to 22 November. The school is attended by students in grades 1–5 and 11, middle students go to distant education.
2. Irkutsk, region. Transfer to full distance learning. The timing is adjusted depending on the statistics of morbidity in the region.
3. Voronezh region. Mixed mode. The primary classes attend school, the secondary ones can attend no more than 2 times a week, the rest - on distance learning.
4. Tula, region. Mixed learning system. The younger grades go to school, from the 6th to the 11th grades - they study remotely.
5. Sverdlovsk region. Pupils of elementary grades stay at home, the rest go to school.
6. St. Petersburg, region. "Solomon's solution" - parents decide for themselves whether children study remotely or go to school.
7. Yakutia. School is attended only by children of elementary grades.

The organization of blended learning for schoolchildren has shown its effectiveness. According to statistics, the number of infected children in the capital in October fell by half.

A decision was made to transfer students from higher educational institutions in both capitals, Moscow and St. Petersburg, to distance learning from November 16.
