TV presenter Yulia Baranovskaya until recently was known to the public mainly as "the common-law wife of football player Andrei Arshavin." The couple lived together for a long time, diligently raising the heirs. Last year, the situation changed dramatically - Arshavin left the family. Julia had to not only change her usual way of life and look for work, but also deal with her former lover in court. The other day Baranovskaya and Arshavin finally managed to come to a compromise on the issue of alimony. And now Julia is seriously thinking about changing family legislation.

Despite the birth of three heirs, Julia and Andrei did not officially register the marriage. And this led to the fact that Baranovskaya had to apply for the payment of alimony on behalf of the children.

“Our legislation protects children's rights well. A woman who has lived in an unofficial marriage has no right to anything,”the TV presenter told Womab’s Day. “It doesn't seem unfair to me. All this money, which the press loves to write about, will go exactly to the children. I can earn money for myself. In the future, I would like to make efforts to change family legislation so that women who have lived in unofficial marriage for several years also have their rights."

How Baranovskaya intends to amend the legislation is not yet clear. But the words of Yulia are to some extent confirmed by the recent statement of the famous lawyer Alexander Dobrovinsky.

The lawyer says that he is persuading the girl to start a career in politics. “I have a dream that Yulia will sooner or later get into the State Duma. It seems to me that with her character, assertiveness and rather masculine mindset, she will find supporters in this area,”said the lawyer to Komsomolskaya Pravda.
