According to a poll conducted by VTsIOM, 60% of men and 49% of women in Russia consider themselves to be in love. The last five years have shown a stable result: the number of those wounded by Cupid's arrow ranges from 53 to 54%. For the most part, lovers are quite young: 73–77% of them are people aged 18–34.

After 2, 5 years, the spouses begin to lose the novelty of the relationship and take marriage for granted. As a result, the festive atmosphere disappears, men stop helping women with housework, and spend more time on the couch in front of the TV. For her part, the woman is paying less attention to how she is dressed at home, according to AMI-TASS, citing the latest opinion poll conducted in Britain.

Earlier, Mexican scientists from the National Autonomous University conducted a study and found that love is a temporary insanity, the "duration" of which does not exceed four years. Moreover, you can fall in love with one particular person only once. The repeated surge of emotions and feelings after separation is explained only by attachment or sexual attraction. Even in the strongest romantic affections, the resource of strength is exhausted after four years.
