And she survived by 5 thousand a month (then, of course, the amount increased - inflation), made friends, went for a walk, had fun. I studied and lived in a hostel for 75 rubles a month, they deducted this money from the scholarship, that is, the main issue with housing was not relevant for me, but 5 thousand for everything else: food, entertainment, cosmetics (I did not buy very often - mascara once every 2 months, everything else generally once every six months or less). Of course, she didn't eat red caviar, she saved so that there was more money for entertainment. I'm an economist! It was almost 6 years ago. Then the metro, it seems, cost 13 rubles. And students are given an unlimited pass! Six years ago, it cost about 100 rubles a month - I paid for it with a scholarship. And the food did not cost so much, in the fifth year I already lived for 8-10 thousand.

Of course, moving to Moscow you do not need to think that you will finally heal like kings, you will have to save on everything, since everything is very expensive. I also advise you to prepare yourself in advance for the snobbery of native Muscovites, who not only do not respect newcomers, but also do not consider them to be people.

Better to go with money

Moscow loves strong and motivated people. If there are no acquaintances who can help with the apartment, then this is bad. It is even worse if there are no acquaintances at all. Immediately you need to prepare that no one will give you anything just like that on a silver platter, you need to really plow in order to achieve something. It is better to travel with money, at least 100 thousand, because renting an apartment is expensive - from 25 thousand a month, you will be very lucky if you find it cheaper. If you rent through an agent, which will be more reliable, then he will have to pay 25 thousand. Metro fare - 26 rubles per trip, ground transport - 25 rubles. In general, you need a lot of money. I personally want to leave here, because sometimes this frantic rhythm is very annoying and I want peace. Perhaps Moscow is not my city, but I am not giving up yet. It was necessary to try in any case, a new experience.

Many can't stand

A lot of people are leaving Moscow. Where I work, we have more than half of the state outside the city. They rush around the apartments (odnushka for 5 people), they always complain how bad they are, they have no money … Then they get bored of them, and went home.

It seems to me that it is better to live in your own small town and feel like a man than to interrupt in a big strange city.

I came here myself, but almost 30 years ago, then it was easier with housing and work.

I have a friend who moved from the same city with me, entered the theater institute, lives with her aunt - accordingly, she does not spend money on anything from everyday things, every month my mother sends her 30 thousand for clothes and entertainment. Possesses himself as a native Muscovite, does not care about anything, lives well. Everyone has their own concept of “conquering Moscow”.

The grippy are lucky

A cousin's sister and her husband moved in due time. No money, no acquaintances. She didn't even have an education, so she was finishing some courses. Now the head of a department in a large company, the salary is quite good, he is simultaneously receiving a higher education, they bought an apartment themselves, however, in the suburbs, but nevertheless. But she is a very grasping person, sociable, just a fine fellow, of course.

The daughter of my mother's friend left at the age of 28, rented a room with a girlfriend, well, she was just lucky: she found a young man, a native Muscovite, very wealthy. They seem to live quite well.

Something is missing in my hometown

This is my third year in Moscow! I arrived after graduating from university … At first, my mother's childhood friend helped me (not financially, of course, morally) … She joined the rhythm of a big city about a month later … When I go to my parents now, somewhere on the third day it somehow feels uncomfortable something is missing. So far, I don't want to leave Moscow, there are goals, and I want to achieve them.

Disappointed in Moscow

When I moved to Moscow, then hoped for a luxurious life, but then was very disappointed.

To be honest, Moscow is no better than other cities. In addition, there are a lot of people like you, who came in search of a better life and were finally ruined.

There are no diamonds underfoot, prices are sky-high, and wages are low. If you do not have relatives in Moscow who will provide you with an apartment, or at least tens of thousands of dollars for a start, then the chances are generally minimal. In addition, keep in mind that there is a crisis now, and no one will hire a person with little experience, especially a newcomer. And to work as some kind of cashier or operator for 15,000 a month - count all this money for food and rent and let go. And you shouldn't think of Moscow as a kind of Eldorado; later you will be very disappointed. Proven by thousands of disappointed people.

It's full of scammers here

There are acquaintances who tried to conquer Moscow. Just like me and my parents at one time, and they came for a reason, but to visit relatives and friends, specifically, a friend of my father lived in our apartment for more than a month. He also got a job with his father, that is, it was much easier for him, since there was the support of friends. By the way, a couple of months ago he went back to his place, to be honest, I don't know why. And recently a distant relative from Siberia came to my aunt, got a little worried and … joined some kind of sect. Now she doesn't know how to get out of there, and she doesn't really want to, although they are pulling money from her. Apparently, they were specifically brainwashed. So be careful, if you do decide to go, and keep your eyes open: there are a lot of swindlers in Moscow.

Many people dream of finding a better life in Moscow, not realizing that Moscow is also not rubber, there is no place for everyone who wants to.

Do not be afraid

I arrived in the Moscow region three years ago, got a job in Moscow - and I work there. There are no special "heights", but there is stability: I can support myself on a salary, rent an apartment, live. But I did not come to the void, but to the groom, so there were no problems with renting an apartment for the first time. Many have problems with registration at first, but everything can be solved.

Who needs registration, do it. Checks of newcomers in the metro, which scare everyone, are also not so scary, personally I have not come across checks for several years. Check those whose eyes are running. Conquering Moscow is not easy! In general, Moscow does not need to be “conquered”. You just have to live here. What's so hard about that? If you are afraid of difficulties with registration or think that all employers hire only Muscovites, then you should not go to Moscow. Fear has big eyes. But the devil is not so terrible as he is painted.
