The winner of the "Voice" TV show, Hieromonk Photius, in all likelihood, will not be able to build a full-fledged artistic career. At least for now. As it became known, Photius will not perform at the Grigory Leps festival, which is now taking place in Sochi. The hieromonk did not receive a blessing from the abbot of his monastery.

It was assumed that Photius would become one of the brightest stars of the annual Lepsa Christmas festival. However, shortly before the start of the event, the hieromonk notified the organizers that he would not be able to speak.

In an interview with journalists from the Russian News Service, Fotiy admitted that he was upset by the rector's refusal to participate in the festival, and suggested that this was due to concerns about the "reputation of the church as a whole." “It's hard for me to say why, I don't understand myself. But I don't see anything so dirty or reprehensible in this."

“I do not belong to myself, I always have to ask permission from my superiors to speak anywhere,” the priest explained earlier. "At the very least, they should definitely let me go on the tour, in which I simply have to participate under the terms of the contract with Universal Music, concluded after my victory."

The hieromonk added that he is planning a tour of the cities of Russia. "And I will hope that I will be blessed to participate in it." According to the aspiring artist, "work is underway, a lot of people are applying." “We ask prominent public figures, I will not give names, so that they somehow influence my abbot,” explained Fotiy.

Let us remind you that in the fourth season of the "Voice" project, Fotiy was the ward of Grigory Leps and won in the final with a noticeable preponderance of the audience's votes (more than 70%).
