However, the press service of the Moscow Transport Department cited data on 12 thousand pensioners who tried to pass through the turnstiles of the Moscow metro on the morning of March 27. They were not afraid of either strict warnings, or the fact that they are in the first group of risk of complications due to the transferred coronavirus, if they are infected.

Perhaps they did not even know that in the list of measures to combat new cases of the spread of the epidemic, free travel was canceled for citizens who have reached the retirement age and above. The Department of Transport learned about this from signals indicating that people are trying to get into the subway with the help of a social card issued to them. It provides for the possibility of free travel for retired and beneficiaries at normal times.

Due to the spread of the coronavirus epidemic in Moscow, pensioners and people with chronic diseases are advised to observe the regime of voluntary self-isolation, but the activity of older people is still high. The Moscow authorities plan to allocate significant funds for payments to citizens with chronic diseases and those who are over 65 years old.

According to RIA Novosti, those who begin a voluntary self-isolation regime can count on such payments. This is 2 thousand rubles, which will be credited immediately.

Those who complete quarantine without systematic violations can count on the second part of payments due to coronavirus in the same amount. This monetary incentive is scheduled after April 12th.
