Russians who have recovered from COVID-19 can count on financial assistance prescribed to compensate for the costs of treatment and recovery. Experts told what payments are due to those who have had a coronavirus, how to get them and where to go.

Who is entitled to financial assistance after Covid

Compensation payments do not belong to the federal program and are aimed only at helping certain categories of citizens who have had coronavirus.

Payments to health workers

First of all, employees of medical institutions, as well as members of their families, can count on compensation, but on condition that the doctor has been infected at the workplace. The amount of the payment is determined by the regional authorities. Also, throughout the territory of the Russian Federation, there is a rule according to which the families of health workers who have died from COVID-19 will receive additional help if the doctor has become infected from a patient.

The types and amount of financial support are established by decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 313. The amount of additional payment (in rubles) is determined depending on the severity of the consequences that have occurred:

  • the disease did not lead to disability - 68,811;
  • after covid, III group of disability was assigned - 688 113;
  • disability of the II group - 1,376,226;
  • COVID-19 led to group I disability - 2,064,339.

If a physician dies as a result of COVID-19 infection, his relatives will receive compensation in the amount of 2,752,452 rubles.

Thus, health workers who:

  • closely contacted patients in the course of their job duties;
  • contracted COVID-19 while performing official duties;
  • have had a disease (several) that arose against the background of coronavirus infection (the list was approved by order No. 1272-r).

The insurance company (FSS) is responsible for calculating the allowance. At the same time, you do not need to write any statements. Investigation of the case of infection and confirmation of the diagnosis are carried out without the participation of a health worker. If all the conditions for assigning a payment are met, the funds will go to the victim's bank account.

Payments to working citizens

Working citizens can only rely on standard sick leave accruals. The amount of compensation is determined depending on the employee's insurance record. If he works in the company for less than six months, the allowance is calculated depending on the size of the minimum wage (regional or federal). In other cases, the amount of compensation is determined by the length of service and average earnings:

  • from 6 months to 5 years - 60%;
  • from 5 to 8 years old - 80%;
  • more than 8 years - 100%.
