Russians who have recovered from COVID-19 can count on financial assistance prescribed to compensate for the costs of treatment and recovery. Experts told what payments are due to those who have had a coronavirus, how to get them and where to go.

Who is entitled to financial assistance after Covid

Compensation payments do not belong to the federal program and are aimed only at helping certain categories of citizens who have had coronavirus.

Payments to health workers

First of all, employees of medical institutions, as well as members of their families, can count on compensation, but on condition that the doctor has been infected at the workplace. The amount of the payment is determined by the regional authorities. Also, throughout the territory of the Russian Federation, there is a rule according to which the families of health workers who have died from COVID-19 will receive additional help if the doctor has become infected from a patient.

The types and amount of financial support are established by decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 313. The amount of additional payment (in rubles) is determined depending on the severity of the consequences that have occurred:

  • the disease did not lead to disability - 68,811;
  • after covid, III group of disability was assigned - 688 113;
  • disability of the II group - 1,376,226;
  • COVID-19 led to group I disability - 2,064,339.

If a physician dies as a result of COVID-19 infection, his relatives will receive compensation in the amount of 2,752,452 rubles.

Thus, health workers who:

  • closely contacted patients in the course of their job duties;
  • contracted COVID-19 while performing official duties;
  • have had a disease (several) that arose against the background of coronavirus infection (the list was approved by order No. 1272-r).

The insurance company (FSS) is responsible for calculating the allowance. At the same time, you do not need to write any statements. Investigation of the case of infection and confirmation of the diagnosis are carried out without the participation of a health worker. If all the conditions for assigning a payment are met, the funds will go to the victim's bank account.

Blood donor compensation

The group of recipients of one-time benefits also includes blood donors. Doctors urge patients who have had coronavirus to donate blood with antibodies in it for the purpose of further use for the manufacture of medicines. The collection of material is carried out both on a paid and free basis.

In the first case, the amount of compensation is:

  • 5 thousand rubles - for 600 ml;
  • 2.5 thousand rubles - for 300 ml;
  • 1 250 rubles - for 150 ml.

The payment is regular and is provided after each blood donation.

Payments to the population

The question of the appointment of payments to ordinary citizens who have had an infection remains at the discretion of the regional authorities.

So, certain categories of residents of the Ulyanovsk region who have already begun to apply for compensation can take advantage of regional assistance. According to the decree of the head of the region Sergey Morozov, the right to receive funds arises from persons belonging to the following groups:

  • pensioners over 60;
  • members of large families;
  • citizens with a disability group;
  • pregnant women.

An application for compensation is submitted to any branch of the MFC or social welfare agency.

“Citizens who have been diagnosed with a new coronavirus infection from November 1, 2020 can apply for this support measure. At the same time, the average per capita income of a family (or a citizen living alone) should not exceed the subsistence minimum established in the region - 10,642 rubles,”explains Svetlana Openysheva, head of the Government for Citizens OGKU.

When applying to the appropriate authority, a citizen must submit the following documents:

  • passport;
  • a certificate indicating the fact of infection with a coronavirus infection from November 1, 2020;
  • power of attorney (if the application is submitted by a representative of the sick person);
  • a certificate of registration with a antenatal clinic (for pregnant women).

Information about income is requested by social security officers on their own.

The authorities of other regions are also considering the issues of providing material assistance to citizens who have recovered from COVID-19. You can find out more about this by visiting the department of social protection or the information resource of the local administration.

Payments to working citizens

Working citizens can only rely on standard sick leave accruals. The amount of compensation is determined depending on the employee's insurance record. If he works in the company for less than six months, the allowance is calculated depending on the size of the minimum wage (regional or federal). In other cases, the amount of compensation is determined by the length of service and average earnings:

  • from 6 months to 5 years - 60%;
  • from 5 to 8 years old - 80%;
  • more than 8 years - 100%.

Compensation for treatment and recovery from covid is mainly awarded to physicians and their family members.

A separate federal program under which payments to ordinary citizens would be made does not yet exist. But the authorities of individual regions are ready to provide financial assistance to such patients.

Working citizens should expect only standard payments that are accrued on sick leave.
