Modern British men have forgotten how to make compliments, the ladies of foggy Albion believe. According to the poll, 65 percent of the British women surveyed do not have enough attention from men, although, in their opinion, there is always a reason to make a flattering remark. The blame for everything is political correctness and … the behavior of women themselves.

89 percent of women admitted that they love compliments, but only 16 percent say them at least five times a day. 12 percent of those surveyed, in turn, said that in the past three months they have not been flattered by a single man.

At the same time, every second British woman said that she would feel embarrassed if a flattering remark was made to her by someone other than her lover. True, 63 percent of the women surveyed noted that their spouses speak to them significantly less flattering expressions than five years ago.

According to psychologists, men began to say fewer compliments due to the fault of the women themselves, since they cannot perceive them with "due favor," reports DailyRecord. The British are afraid to praise in any way, for example, their girlfriends and work colleagues, lest they be misunderstood and provoke anger.

Human relations professional Christine Webber says: “Couples who often compliment each other have an enviable prospect of treating each other with respect, which in turn helps them maintain normal relationships. Most British women do not respond adequately to compliments - this is the main reason why they get them less than their European neighbors. It should be remembered that if a person said that you have a beautiful hairstyle, then it is not necessary to say: "I have not washed my hair for a long time" or to a compliment like "You have a beautiful figure" to answer: " Yes, I have 4 extra pounds "".

However, according to the survey, women enjoy being complimented for their ability to listen and give good advice, balance career and family life, and traditional flattering remarks about their hairstyle and clothing.
