For a long time, all the peoples of the world have been famous for the strength and properties of honey. At the same time, desserts are the most popular of the recipes with this delicacy. But honey is also widely used in the preparation of various sauces, in marinades for chicken, pork and other meats, as a salad dressing and as a flavoring additive in cocktails. The main thing is not to overheat this bee effort, since when heated above 40-50 degrees, honey loses its valuable medicinal qualities.

Honey-baked prawns with bacon
Ingredients:
- 900 g large shrimps
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 125 ml olive oil
- 2 tbsp. l. soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. l. honey
- 1/4 tsp ground red pepper
Preparation:
Peel the shrimp.
Whisk the lemon juice, olive oil, soy sauce, honey and pepper in a small bowl. Dip the shrimps in the sauce and leave them to marinate there for an hour.
Then cut the bacon into small shrimp-sized slices.
Preheat oven to 200 degrees and line a baking sheet with baking paper.
Meanwhile, wrap the prawns with bacon and place on a baking sheet, end down. Bake for 10 minutes, then turn over and cook for another 5 minutes. Then take them out of the oven and cover them on both sides with honey, put them back in the oven for 5 minutes.
Baked potatoes in honey mustard dressing
Ingredients:
- 6 potatoes
- 1-2 tsp honey
- 2 tbsp dijon mustard
- Salt to taste
- 50 g butter
- Soy sauce to taste
- Vegetable oil for mold lubrication
- 1/4 tsp ground red pepper
Preparation:
Boil the potatoes for 15-20 minutes, then drain and let cool. When the potatoes have cooled, cut them lengthwise into 4 pieces and place in a greased pan.
To prepare the dressing, we need to mix the mustard and softened butter. In another bowl, grind honey and soy sauce, add mustard.
Pour the mustard-honey dressing on top of the potatoes, shake the mold so that the potatoes are smeared with the dressing as best as possible. Put the form in an oven preheated to 200 C for about 20 - 30 minutes.

Ingredients:
- 2 royal oyster mushrooms
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp. l. soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. l. rice wine
- 1-2 feathers of green onions
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Preparation:
Cut the mushrooms lengthwise into 1 cm slices and make shallow cuts on each side on both sides - crosswise. Finely chop the green onion.
For the marinade, combine honey, soy sauce, rice wine and sesame oil.
Place the mushroom slices in a cold skillet in one layer and pour over the marinade. Leave to marinate for at least 15 minutes, turning occasionally.
Put the pan with mushrooms and marinade over low heat and fry until the sauce caramelizes and thickens.
When serving, sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.
Mushroom salad with oranges and honey
Ingredients:
- 200 g champignons
- 200 g hard cheese
- 2 sweet bell peppers
- 2 apples
- 1 orange
For the sauce:
- 3 tsp honey
- 1 bottle of yogurt
- 1 tsp mustard
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
Preparation:
Peel the apples and cores, cut them into small cubes with the cheese.
Cut the champignons into thin slices and simmer a little in oil in a frying pan.
Meanwhile, cut the bell pepper into rings, cut across orange slices and mix with the pepper.
Season with mixed sauce ingredients, stir and sprinkle with grated cheese on top, or garnish with citrus wedges on top.
Delicate salmon baked in honey
Ingredients:
- 600-700 g salmon fillet
- 1 tbsp. l. honey
- Juice of half an orange
- 2 tbsp. l. rice wine or dry sherry
- 3 tbsp. l. dark soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. l. dark sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp chili flakes
- 1 tsp spice mixtures "Five spices"
- Sea salt to taste
- Chinese cabbage leaves
Preparation:
For the marinade: mix the slightly warmed honey with the orange juice, then add the soy sauce, rice wine, chili flakes and the Five Spices mixture, and add sesame oil at the very end.
Cut the salmon fillet into slices 2-3 cm thick across the grain. Pack the fillet pieces in a plastic bag and pour the marinade there. Tie the bag and shake gently.
Put the bag in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours.
Place pieces of marinated fish in a steamer lined with Chinese cabbage leaves. You can also brush the top with marinade. Cook for about 10 minutes.
Young lamb with mint and honey
Ingredients:
- 4 lamb chops
- 100 g honey
- 1 tbsp. l. vinegar
- 1 tbsp. l. dried or fresh mint
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Half a glass of water
Preparation:
For the sauce:
In a separate saucepan, mix honey, vinegar and mint with water and season with salt. Then cook for about 5 minutes.
Sprinkle the meat with salt and pepper, put in the oven. Fry for 5 minutes on one side and brush with half of the cooked mint sauce.
Then put it back in the oven for another 5 minutes. Turn the chops, brush with the rest of the sauce, keep in the oven for another 8 minutes over low heat, pouring the sauce from time to time.

- 400 g pork tenderloin
- A piece of ginger root 3 cm long
- 100 ml soy sauce
- Several green onion feathers
- 3 tsp crushed lemon zest

- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 5 tbsp. l. honey
- 4 fresh cucumbers
Preparation:
Cut the cucumbers into longitudinal 1 cm thick slices. Carefully cut the seeds with a knife, save them.
Mix 50 ml of soy sauce with vinegar. Put cucumbers in the resulting mixture and marinate for 30 minutes.
Wash the pork and cut into 1 cm thick pieces.
In a bowl, combine cucumber seeds, ginger, lemon zest, honey, wine and leftover soy sauce.
Place the pieces of pork in a bowl, pour in the mixture and leave to rest for 30 minutes.
Remove the cucumbers from the marinade, fry in 2 tbsp. l. heated vegetable oil for 1, 5 min. from each side.
Heat the remaining vegetable oil in the same skillet. Fry the pork over high heat for 2 minutes. on each side, then add the meat marinade to the pan and cook for another 4 minutes.
Place the meat on a platter with cucumbers. Sprinkle with black pepper and finely chopped green onions.
Ravioli with honey
Ingredients:
- 200 grams of flour
- 3-4 tablespoons honey
- 100 g ricotta cheese
- 20 grams of butter
- 2 yolks
- 5-6 tbsp olive oil
- Zest of half a lemon
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
- Salt to taste
- Water
Preparation:
Mix flour, butter and olive oil, add a little salt and water to the mixture. Knead the dough well, put in the refrigerator for half an hour. Then roll out very thinly and cut into squares, with a side of about 3 cm.
Mix the ricotta with one yolk and finely chopped lemon zest. Add 1 spoonful of honey, a pinch of ground cinnamon and mix thoroughly.
Put a little filling in the center of the square juices, and smear the edges with the remaining loose yolk, cover with the second juicy and carefully fasten the edges so that the air does not come apart and does not remain inside.
Fry the ravioli in a lot of hot olive oil until golden brown. Place on paper towels to absorb oil.
Serve the ravioli hot, sprinkled with honey.
