New Year's Eve chores, shopping, bustle - in themselves a serious test for the nervous and cardiovascular system. And the feasts and libations that follow them can completely finish off the body. However, there are no hopeless situations. And in order not to be after the holidays at a reception with a therapist and psychologist, you should remember a few simple rules.

After New Year's Eve, one in four Russians suffers from a hangover, sociologists calculated. It is often recommended to eat something greasy, such as a lump of butter, before raising your first glass. Despite the fact that fatty foods slow down the absorption of alcohol into the bloodstream, they increase the burden on the liver, experts warn. Therefore, as a snack, protein foods are recommended - fish, lean meat, and complex carbohydrates - potatoes, rice, pasta.

One of the surest ways to cope with the aftermath of a holiday is to oversleep it.

It is not recommended to abuse salty, as it will increase thirst and lead to an increase in the dose of alcohol. Also, do not lean on sweets: simple sugars quickly enter the bloodstream, are quickly eliminated from it and accelerate the absorption of alcohol. In addition, it is recommended to refrain from large amounts of tea or coffee, which will only aggravate dehydration.

Everyone knows that holidays are a serious blow to health. However, as Argumenty i Fakty warns, New Year's holidays can ruin not only the figure, but also family relationships.

According to the statistics of the registry offices, in the first post-holiday working days, the number of applications for divorce sharply increases - the prolonged idleness of every third family leads to strife and conflicts. It is no easier for individuals - the suicide rate on long holidays is 3-4 times higher than on a regular weekend.

“In a situation where prolonged emotional overstrain is abruptly replaced by unemployment,” explains Olga Karabanova, Doctor of Psychology, Professor of the Faculty of Psychology at Moscow State University, “and the usual rhythm of life is idleness, there is a sharp change in biorhythms. The body experiences severe stress, which is superimposed on "gastronomic time off", physical inactivity and unfavorable external factors - short daylight hours and an insufficient amount of irritants. Plus, inevitable for this time, a kind of "summing up". Against such a background, even the super-optimists are guaranteed a decline in mood on New Year's holidays."

In order not to succumb to decadent sentiments, it is necessary to draw up an anti-crisis program, including three important points.

Therefore, in the first days of the holiday, it is better to "soak" - to sleep and lie down. But this state should not last more than two days. Even if you really want to, you should not stay at home during the second half of the vacation. You need to get out into the fresh air for at least one day. And finally, nothing is more pleasing than communication with people dear to our hearts whom we have not seen for a long time - old friends, classmates, former colleagues.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to you!
