But in general, few people consider themselves truly ugly. And nevertheless, the YouGov research company became interested in this issue and decided to find out which country residents were least complex about their appearance.
The YouGov company compiled the so-called rating of body-positive (body - body) states, and Indonesia became the leader of the list. According to researchers, 78 percent of Indonesians are quite satisfied with their own appearance versus 21% of those who are dissatisfied.
Saudi Arabia is in second place with 72% of satisfied people, followed by Qatar (70 percent), Egypt (68 percent), Australia closes the top five (63 percent).
According to the Levada Center, according to a survey conducted several years ago, 73% of Russians are satisfied with their appearance.
At the same time, countries whose residents actively use the services of plastic surgeons cannot boast of a high level of body-positive attitude. So, in the UK, 61 percent of residents are satisfied with themselves (for comparison: women who do not like their own appearance, about 44% versus 31% of men who are dissatisfied with themselves). In Germany, 60 percent. It is followed by the United States (57 percent) and Hong Kong (49 percent).
Marketers also found out the attitude of citizens of different countries to the influence that celebrity culture has on people's self-esteem. The respondents of most countries recognized this influence as negative, while residents of the Middle East and Southeast Asia turned out to be quite loyal.
