The priority direction of state policy is to provide assistance to socially unprotected segments of the population and protect the interests and rights of the child. Both of these definitions include a mother who has legally acquired a social status, raising one child or several children alone. It is already known what payments are due to single mothers in 2021.
The amount of payments is not fixed
The state annually indexes the payments already introduced to parents who are raising children without the support of the other half. Sometimes there are new types of benefits provided by the state to alleviate the difficult financial situation of socially unprotected groups of the population.
State support does not apply to all women who are forced to raise a child alone. To receive benefits and benefits, you need to meet the requirements set forth by the legislation, and on this basis obtain an official social status.
It is impossible to find a universal answer to the question of what payments are due to single mothers in 2021:
- the country has federal-approved benefits for all single mothers;
- there are regional ones, differing in size and purpose, depending on the place of residence of a single mother;
- there are one-time subsidies that are intended to be accrued in strictly defined cases;
- monthly benefits are paid until the child reaches a certain age;
- it is impossible not to mention the targeted assistance, which is paid at the local level, on the basis of the transfer of such powers by the federal authorities to the local administration.
In the review of benefits and payments it is impossible to take into account the situation in each territorial community of huge Russia. Therefore, you can get information from local authorities or social protection authorities.
What payments are due in 2021
Experts mention 3 types of assistance due to socially vulnerable and financially difficult single parents. These are lump sum payments, monthly allowances, benefits that are due to women who have legalized their status.
Lump sum payments
These payments are intended only for socially unprotected categories of the population (these include large families, single mothers, women who have adopted a child and unmarried). Any women who have given birth to a baby can get them:
- from 300 rubles. for early registration in the antenatal clinic;
- BiR - maternity allowance, the value of which is determined by the lack of seniority or salary for the last six months of work;
- maternal capital, the value of which differs in the order in which the child is born.
A single mother is entitled to BIR 140 days in advance, but on condition that she has officially worked before. Among regional payments, the most common forms of lump-sum payment are supplementary assistance, cost recovery, and targeted assistance.
They can manifest themselves in the form of funds for the purchase of items and accessories for preparation for school, for medicines for a sick child, the purchase of clothes for a toddler of preschool and school age.
At birth, in addition to maternity capital, local lump sums may also be paid at the federal level. For example, in Moscow, the first child is supposed to be 5, 8 thousand rubles, and for the second - 15, 3 thousand rubles. You can find out about availability and size at your place of residence.
Monthly benefits
Every child under the age of one and a half is entitled to a monthly allowance. A woman employed before the birth of a child can count on 40% of her average monthly earnings for the last 2 years of work. This value can be increased by the regional coefficient indicator, if there is one for the territorial entity. It has a minimum and maximum values that may change in the coming year.
Those who did not work before the birth of the child are entitled to a minimum value. There are other payments that are assigned subject to the conditions set forth by the legislation:
- allowance until the child reaches the age of three (in the amount of the subsistence minimum per child in the region);
- payments under the Decree of the President from 3 to 7 years (5000 rubles);
- targeted regular assistance from the state up to 18 years old;
- "Putin's" payment in the amount of the children's regional subsistence allowance, but not less than 10, 3 thousand rubles;
- allowance up to 14 years old, the amount of which is variable;
- allowance from 16 to 18 years old (from 500 rubles to 1200).
Each of them has its own characteristics of the appointment and duration of the payment period.
So, for example, if a woman goes to work before the child reaches one and a half years, she loses the right to receive the assigned funds. However, she can keep her benefit if she works part-time or at home (remotely). Students who continue to receive education during this period can also save the allowance.
Up to 14 years old - a regional allowance, which is intended for single mothers, but has not yet been established at the federal level, despite the repeated initiatives of legislators. It is available in the Moscow region and some other territorial entities, and you must also find out about its presence at the place of residence, as well as about the allowance from 16 to 18 years old. This last payment has an additional condition - its recipient.
Social benefits and compensation
The latest news does not contain information on the appointment of new types of benefits, but it lists non-material types of assistance for single mothers. The most significant:
- priority enrollment in kindergarten and reduced payment for a child's stay in a preschool educational institution;
- assistance in purchasing medicines - depends on the current situation; you can get full or partial compensation for medicines, free massage treatment in a children's medical institution;
- a poor single parent is entitled to a subsidy for housing services and food in the dairy kitchen.
The tax bonus is designed specifically for this category of the population. Depending on the number of dependent children, its size can be 3-6 thousand rubles.
