The publisher of the FashionBombDaily.com blog said the photo is very humiliating: "White dominance and superiority, expressed in a humiliating way, although seemingly harmless." Some social media users were so outraged that they opted for harsher language. “I hope that the people from Buro 24/7 and Dasha Zhukova will die a terrible death and burn in hell,” wrote one of the particularly furious readers.
However, Miroslava Duma hastened to rectify the situation. The picture was corrected, and the girl made the appropriate explanations. “Of course, such a reaction could not even have been foreseen by us. We are now going to write comments and official apologies, because no one was going to offend anyone's feelings,”said Duma, adding that the scandalous chair is the work of the famous artist Allen Jones, one of the iconic representatives of pop art.
“This is just one of his most famous works - furniture in the form of female figures. There are both white women and black women. To be honest, we are a little shocked, it is strange for us. But, of course, we apologize to all the people whose feelings we have hurt."
