Mourning at the Mayakovsky Theater. On December 11, the famous film and theater artist Igor Kashintsev passed away. He was 83 years old. The artist's colleagues grieve and condole with his family.

“We regret to inform you that today, at the age of 84, People's Artist of Russia Igor Konstantinovich Kashintsev has died. Having joined the Mayakovtsev troupe at a mature age, Kashintsev found his real environment here. We offer our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Igor Konstantinovich. A blessed memory,”the obituary says.

As specified, the actor will be buried at the Golovinsky cemetery in Moscow. Farewell to the People's Artist will take place on December 14 at the Mayakovsky Theater, followed by a funeral.

The artist's filmography includes such famous films as The Golden Calf (1968), The Investigation is Conducted by Experts (1971), Pirates of the XX Century (1979), The Squadron of Flying Hussars (1980), Dead Souls "(1984)," Save Our Souls "(1987)," A Lady's Visit "(1989)," Fools Die on Fridays "(1990)," Petersburg Mysteries "(1994)," Turkish March "(year 2000).

The master of the episode, Kashintsev was remembered by the audience for his striking characteristic supporting roles: swindlers, bureaucrats, adventurers. In 2003, Kashintsev was awarded the title of People's Artist of Russia, in 2008, the actor was awarded the Order of Friendship.

Kashintsev was born on June 17, 1932. After graduating from the Moscow Art Theater School in 1955, he entered the service at the Central Theater of the Soviet Army. He made his film debut in 1963 and has since played in more than 120 films. Since 1993, Igor Konstantinovich worked at the Mayakovsky Theater, was a member of the initiative group.
