One fine day you suddenly find that your apartment is dull and banal, and suddenly there is a desire to change everything. When I came to this decision, I thought carefully about the question of what and how to change. It is not so easy to part with what has been accumulating over the years, but this is exactly where you need to start.

Having carefully looked around the living room, I decided that the sofa was still very good. You just need to sew a brighter blanket on it and scatter more homemade pillows over it. Here is the next thesis:

To create a cozy and beautiful home, you can only change the details. And it's not too expensive, especially if you do a lot yourself.

In the room, I decided to change the lighting and wall decoration. The chandelier, which has been hanging here for a dozen years, has long gone out of fashion. Recessed luminaires, table lamps and other sources of diffused light are the best solution, because such light makes you evaluate the height and length of the room in a different way. For example, I settled on an elegant lamp under the ceiling, a floor lamp by the sofa and ramps above two paintings. I confess, the latter was the most difficult to organize, because it took a long time to persuade my half to execute my idea technically.

In general, as far as the walls are concerned, here the flight of imagination, fueled by beautiful magazine illustrations, could lead me far beyond the family budget. I curbed him by buying pastel-colored wallpaper, but I will share ideas, suddenly they will come in handy.

It seems that the intimate corners of our apartment are difficult to change. Standard bathtub, standard compact, tiles … Well, what can I change? I was especially annoyed by the bathroom: dull white tiles on the walls and baked clay tiles on the floor. After sitting for several days over a pile of magazines on the interior, I sketched out a plan for changing the bathroom: on the wall - a Matisse painting in blue tones, repaint the floor tiles in white with a splash of black, and make the curtain transparent. It turned out pretty: the painting in the bathroom? Why not?

Finally, I want to note that when renovating the premises, you need to take into account the interests of all family members. The main thing is that the apartment should be cozy, warm and welcoming. And the point is not whether it is old, old or the most modern furniture and decoration in it. With a certain amount of effort, all of these items can be perfectly combined to create the subtle yet distinct spirit of the House.
