Govorukhin and Prigogine against Eurovision

The organizers of the Eurovision Song Contest recently announced the participation of a Russian representative in the next year's competition. However, the announcement did not generate much enthusiasm. Stanislav Govorukhin and Joseph Prigogine even call to forget about Eurovision.

As Govorukhin said in an interview with reporters, since Russia was not admitted to the competition in Kiev this year, it would be necessary "to maintain dignity and refuse to participate in this nasty thing."

The head of the State Duma Committee on Culture was supported by producer Iosif Prigozhin. He expressed full agreement with the director and added that it would be better for Russian artists "to refuse this competition once and for all."

“He (the competition) does not give us anything, except for constant humiliation and excitement. I am for HYIP, but not for such a HYIP when they can show us the door. When they say that Ukraine has been fined, then let us send the fined money, if any, to the Fund for Assistance to People with Disabilities. We will open the Yulia Samoilova Foundation. And so they spat, washed and went on. Is it normal? - noted Prigozhin.
