Billionaire Roman Abramovich regularly appears in the lists of the "most-most", so he is no stranger to the next title. However, the last title - "the most influential person in Russian art" - Roman Arkadyevich received not only because of his capital and expensive purchases, but mainly thanks to his friend Daria Zhukova.

Artchronika magazine compiled a list of the 50 most influential people in Russian art in 2010. The list was published in the January issue of the publication.

The first place in the list is occupied by Roman Abramovich and Daria Zhukova. The magazine's experts considered their main merit to be the activities of the Garage Center for Contemporary Culture, which is headed by Zhukova. In particular, the exhibitions “One Hundred Years of Performance” and the first exhibition of Mark Rothko in Russia were noted.

Last year, Joseph Backstein ranked first, Roman Abramovich and Daria Zhukova were in second place.

In second place on the list was last year's leader, Moscow Biennale Commissioner Joseph Backstein, who was noted for maintaining interest in his project.

The third place on the list is occupied by the gallery owner, director of the PERMM Museum, Marat Gelman. In fourth place is Olga Sviblova, director of the Moscow House of Photography, which reopened in 2010 on Ostozhenka. Shalva Breus, the head of the board of trustees of the Kandinsky Prize and the publisher of "Artchronika", rounds off the top five.

Also in the top ten list were: Executive Director of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art Vasily Tsereteli, Director of the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art Sofia Trotsenko, Commissioner of the Russian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale and founder of the Stella Art Foundation Stella Kesaeva, curator Andrei Erofeev and journalist and curator Ekaterina Degot.
