On February 18, 1952, Alexander Barykin, a famous Russian singer, was born. Unfortunately, the artist died in 2011. The peak of Alexander Barykin's popularity came in the eighties. We decided to remember about his work, as well as about other brightest Russian performers of that time.

Alexander was born in the village of Berezovo, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, but as a child, he moved with his family to the city of Lyubertsy near Moscow. He began to study music at school, in high school, having organized the first group and performing with it on dance floors. Then he wrote the first songs and poems. It is interesting that, having already become popular, he very rarely allowed himself to perform songs on his own verses.

Barykin graduated from the vocal department of Gnesinka, and then in absentia from the Krasnodar Institute of Culture.

His professional career began in 1973. At first, he performed in various groups - "Muscovites", "Merry Guys", "Gems". In 1979 he organized the Carnival group, in which he performed together with Vladimir Kuzmin. The team became incredibly popular, however, it broke up and gathered again, but without Kuzmin. With Barykin as a soloist, he became truly stellar.

In the early nineties, the artist began to have problems with the ligaments, and he was temporarily forced to interrupt performances and recordings, returning only in the two thousandth.

Vladimir Kuzmin

Vladimir Kuzmin was born in 1955 in Moscow. He was fond of music from an early age. Already at 5 he took up the guitar, studied at a music school in the violin class, at the age of 6 he wrote the first song, and in middle school he organized the first group. After school, Kuzmin went to the Dnepropetrovsk Glinka Music College, where he chose a flute as an instrument.

He began his career with participation in various groups, the most popular of which was "Carnival", which he founded together with Alexander Barykin. Collaboration with Alla Pugacheva added considerable success to the artist. He was the soloist of her song theater "Recital", wrote songs for the Prima Donna and, of course, sang with her.

In 1987, he embarked on a solo voyage, which continues to this day successfully. In total, he has about 20 albums and more than 200 songs.

The most famous songs: “Two stars”, “I will not forget you”, “When you call me”, “5 minutes from your house”, “Queen of beauty”, “Tale of my life”.

Alexey Glyzin

Alexey Glyzin is a native of the city of Mytishchi near Moscow. Like many stars, he began to get involved in music from childhood. Graduated from music school, piano. But he did not go to a music university to study, but to a radio-apparatus-building technical school. However, he abandoned him and created his first ensemble, and then nevertheless went to the Tambov cultural enlightenment school, and from there to the Moscow Institute of Culture.

Glyzin played in the teams "Good fellows", "Gems", "Rhythm", but the real fame was brought to him by the "Merry Boys". The group performed at many music festivals and competitions and presented the audience with a lot of hits.

In 1988, Alexey began his solo career. He released 8 solo albums, the last of which was released in 2012.

Igor Sarukhanov

Igor Sarukhanov was born in Samarkand in 1956. He was fond of music since childhood, at school he played in ensembles, graduated from a music school in the guitar class. Igor dreamed of studying at Gnesinka, but could not enter and, at the insistence of his parents, entered the Moscow Institute of Chemical Engineering. True, a year later he left him and went to the army, where he served in the song and dance ensemble. There he met Stas Namin and got into his team "Blue Bird", and then - in "Flowers".

In 1983 Igor formed his own group, Krug, which quickly became successful. And after 2 years, the artist took up a solo career, which has not ended today. Sarukhanov's last album was released in 2012.

The most famous songs: “My dear old men”, “Green eyes”, “I wish you”, “This is not love”, “Violin-fox”.

Vladimir Presnyakov

Fate left Vladimir Presnyakov Jr. almost no choice but to make music, because it was in his genes. He was born into a family of popular musicians Vladimir and Elena Presnyakov - artists of the VIA "Samotsvety"

At the age of 11 he wrote his first song, at 12 he sang in a church choir in Moscow, and at 13 he performed as part of the Cruise group, performing his own songs. After another 2 years, Presnyakov Jr. began a solo career, performing in the Laima Vaikule variety show.

Real fame came to Vladimir after the release of the film "Above the Rainbow" in 1986, where the main character performed by Dmitry Maryanov sang in his voice. Songs from this picture are still hits of Russian music. After the picture, a successful career was not long in coming. Until almost the mid-nineties, Presnyakov consistently hit the charts of the most popular young Russian performers, received music awards and prizes.

However, in part, Vladimir's success was also facilitated by a civil marriage with an equally popular girl of that time - the daughter of Alla Pugacheva, Christina Orbakaite.

Vladimir Markin

Another star of the eighties, Vladimir Markin, before the beginning of his singing career, worked with everything - a packer, bricklayer, seamstress, cutter. However, he studied music since childhood, played in a school ensemble and in an institute (he graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute).

In 1983, Markin organized the "Difficult Childhood" ensemble, with which he began performing professionally. The team stood out from the rest with songs with irony and humor, thanks to which it gained wide popularity.

Markin left his singing career in the late nineties. Today he works as the director of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, an institute that he himself graduated from.

The most famous songs: "Lilac fog", "The princess is not laughing", "White bird cherry", "Brownie", "I'm ready to kiss the sand."

Sergey Minaev

Muscovite Sergei Minaev (not to be confused with the writer - author of the book "Duhless") graduated from GITIS and the Moscow School of Circus and Variety Art. The main feature of his work was parodies. With them, he began his performances in 1987. In his arsenal were cover versions of hits by Modern Talking, Yaki-Da, E-Type, A-Ha, Boney M, Aqua, Blue System, Bad Boys Blue and many other famous artists. All the texts of his parodies Minaev wrote himself, and all of them were distinguished by light irony.

After a wave of success, Sergei hid from the public for a long time, but last year he returned and presented his new work - a jazz album.

Victor Saltykov

Viktor Saltykov was born in 1957 in Leningrad. Already at the age of five, he began to willingly perform at matinees in kindergarten, and then at school. Parents sent him to the children's choir of the Capella, but Victor's relationship did not work out with academic vocals. In addition, in his youth, he began to take an active part in sports, played tennis for 10 years and received a youth category.

The Beatles returned to Saltykov's music. To listen to the songs of the quartet, he even worked part-time at a construction site - he had to buy a tape recorder for something. The more music there was in life, the more Victor himself wanted to sing.

This opportunity was given to him in 1983 as part of the Manufactura group. At one of the festivals, Alexander Nazarov noticed the soloist and invited him to the Forum group. Since that time, the success of Saltykov has been counted.

Later, the singer moved to the Electroclub group, in which Irina Allegrova and Igor Talkov worked at that time - the latter was just about to pursue a solo career, and Saltykov replaced him. In 1990, he himself began performing solo and continues to do so today.

The most famous songs: "White Night", "Island", "Horses in Apples", "You do not marry him", "I'm going crazy for you."

Viktor Tsoi

Another Leningrader, Viktor Tsoi, was born in 1962. As a child, he was fond of music and drawing. That is why he entered to study at an art school and created his first musical group - "Chamber No. 6" there. True, he did not succeed in continuing his creative work - he was expelled from the art school for poor progress. But on the other hand, his musical career has developed much better.

In 1981, Tsoi organized the Garin and Hyperboloids group, which quickly changed its name to Kino - it was this group that was destined to become a cult and one of the most successful groups of its time.

In parallel with his musical career, Viktor Tsoi acted in films, one of the most famous films with his participation - "Needle".

Viktor Tsoi died in 1990. He died in a car accident. He was 28 years old.

Chris Kelmi (his real name is Anatoly) is a Muscovite. He took his pseudonym in honor of the hero of the novel "Solaris" Chris Kelvin. At the age of 4, he began to get involved in music and play the piano. He graduated from a music school, but went to study at a technical university - the Institute of Transport Engineers. But after all the same he entered the school to them. Gnesins (where he studied with Vladimir Kuzmin).

Chris Kelmey began his career in the seventies, moving from one to another musical group. The most successful of them was "Rock-Atelier", where Alexander Barykin and Olga Kormukhina played in their time.

In 1987, Kelmi came up with an idea that was fashionable at that time - to unite the most famous musicians and record a common hit. This was the song "Closing the Circle", among the performers of which were Alexander Gradsky, Andrey Makarevich, Konstantin Nikolsky, Zhanna Aguzarova, Valery Syutkin, Alexander Ivanov and many others.

Since 2000, Chris Kelme has embarked on a solo career.

Vyacheslav Malezhik

The first musical instrument of Vyacheslav Malezhik was the button accordion, it was on it that he gave home concerts for the family and played at weddings with friends. Only then Vyacheslav switched to the guitar.

He began his career in 1969 as the vocalist of the Mosaic group. Like many others, he moved from one team to another (among them were "Merry Guys"). Glory overtook him in 1977 as a member of the "Flame" ensemble, where he began to perform his own songs, which quickly became hits - the audience liked their lyricism and melody.

The most famous songs: "Fellow Traveler", "Provincial", "Madame", "Lilliputik", "200 years", "Fog in December".

Igor Talkov

In 1956, Igor Talkov, the future cult star of the Russian stage, was born in the Tula region. In his family were hereditary nobles, Cossacks and officers of the tsarist army. And Igor decided to link his fate with music. Already at school, he began to play the button accordion. No less seriously he was fond of sports, played hockey, but did not qualify for the Dynamo school. Therefore, he only took up music more closely.

At school, Talkov led the choir, played the guitar, piano, violin and drums. At the same time, Igor did not master the musical notation, taking everything by ear.

Talkov's first professional performances began in the mid-seventies. At first, he just earned money, giving concerts on variety shows, then he began to appear on stage as part of the "Electroclub" and "Rescue Club" groups, and also managed to play in several films.

In October 1991, Igor Talkov passed away. He was shot by Igor Malakhov, the director of the singer Aziza. He was 34 years old.

Yuri Antonov

Yuri Antonov is from Tashkent. Like other future stars, he was fond of music since childhood and in his youth created his first musical group. After studying at a music school, he went to work as a music teacher in Minsk, and then worked as a soloist in the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society, after which - in the same place, but already as the head of the ensemble. Vladimir Mulyavin, the founder of the Pesnyary ensemble, worked for some time under Antonov's leadership.

He began performing as a performer in the Singing Guitars collective. Then there were "Good fellows", "Funny guys", then in the early eighties "Araks", cooperation with which brought Yuri Antonov all-Union glory.

Today, the performer is rightfully considered one of the masters of the national stage. In 2013, his jubilee concert tour "About you and about me" began in honor of the 50th anniversary of his creative activity.

The most famous songs: “I remember”, “From sorrow to joy”, “Sea”, “This is how it happens”, “Golden staircase”, “Anastasia”, “Take care of women”, “A dream come true”.

Yuriy Shatunov

The youngest member of our list, but at the same time no less popular and even cult, Yuri Shatunov hails from Kumertau. Since his father did not show interest in his son, after the death of his mother, the future star was taken up by an aunt. Then he was brought up in an orphanage - first in the Orenburg region, then in Orenburg itself.

In 1986, he met the head of the music circle, Yuri Kuznetsov, with the help of whom he created the "Laskovy May" group and made the first recordings of his songs on an ordinary tape recorder. Among them was the composition "White Roses". It was her that Andrei Razin heard on the train and immediately decided to find a boy who sang this song.

He found a team and became its producer, making the group one of the most popular in those years. The team existed until 1992 until Shatunov left.

After leaving the group, Yuri lived in Germany for some time, then returned and continued to sing already solo. He sings now, although, of course, not so successfully.
