In 2017, Omsk bard Alexander Shakhinin posted on his YouTube channel a video for the song "Immortal Regiment", which he himself performed. And in the spring of 2018, the premiere of the composition of the same name was held by Oleg Gazmanov. It's hard not to notice that both songs are strikingly similar. And it is this fact that confuses Alexander Shakhinin most of all. The man has already turned to the capital's musicology experts to prove the fact of borrowing from the People's Artist.
In turn, Oleg Gazmanov himself did not react to these accusations. But his son Rodion decided to speak out on this matter, calling Shakhinin "not a very successful author." The young man believes that Alexander just wants to gain popularity due to the scandal with the star. But, at the same time, the similarity of the two songs Gazmanov Jr. did not deny either.
Currently, the singer from Omsk has turned to lawyers and is preparing a lawsuit. But it is not yet clear what the final requirements will be. Either he will insist on co-authorship, or on a complete ban on the execution of the "Immortal Regiment" by Gazmanov.
