Everything happened very quickly. This role was offered to me by the producer of the project Vyacheslav Murugov. I really liked the idea of the series, and I agreed without hesitation. It is especially pleasant that I was approved without trials.

Your main partner was Sasha Golovin, an aspiring actor. He's still just a child. If I'm not mistaken - is he not even 18? How did you work with him? After all, you played two people passionate about each other …

It worked great! You are right, he is only 17 years old, but despite his young age, he already feels like a real artist. He's very smart. Easy and interesting in communication, at the same time he clearly knows what the director wants from him, and efficiently fulfills the task assigned to him. I'm sure he has a great acting future.

As for age … You know, I communicate with different people. So age is not an indicator at all. If a person is a person, then he is a person at 17 years old, and you can be absolutely empty at 30 years old. And in Sasha there is what is called charisma. He is a very charismatic person.

How do you feel about the situation your heroine is in - love between a teacher and a student? Could you find yourself in such a situation?

I myself am hardly. But I'm absolutely fine with this. And then, they are not really in love. I would say that they have mutual sympathy. According to the scenario, the age difference is only 6 years. Polina likes Maxim. He is an interesting conversationalist and has his own point of view. He in some way changes Polina's worldview. It is not Polina herself that changes, not her life, but her attitude to certain things. And moreover, it changes for the better. I am not against such relationships in life.

The series was filmed in Tver - in the very real Suvorov School. You managed to look at all this from the inside. What is your opinion about the so-called "cadet" method of education?

I believe that studying at the Suvorov Military School gives these guys a lot. It's the 21st century, and such concepts as honor, dignity, nobility, unfortunately, have begun to be forgotten. And in the school, children learn not only to walk with a marching step and give honor, but also to respect loved ones, to be responsible for their words and deeds. The guys get to Suvorovskoye at an age when the character is just beginning to take shape. It is important who at this moment will influence the formation of the personality. In this case, the Suvorov School is an excellent school of life.

Would you send your child to the Suvorov School?

Well, while I have no children and it is difficult for me to answer this question. Perhaps I would give it to Suvorovskoye. In any case, I am for freedom of choice.

Don't you think that the series embellishes the gray everyday life of the school a little? After all, no matter what they say, the Suvorov School is still an army, albeit for teenagers.

Not at all! Vyacheslav Muruga - the producer of the series - himself a former Suvorovite. Therefore, he tried to tell as believably as possible about the life of the guys who decided to link their lives with the defense of their homeland. People, the military, call me all the time and thank me for the series. They express their admiration for how high-quality and believable everything is filmed, thank for the absence of bloody scenes in the series.

Let's return to the topic of children. Do you plan to become a mother yourself? And then they got carried away with a career …

Career, you say? (laughs) Everything has its time. When it pleases God …

Maybe there is no worthy contender for the role of the child's father? I remember that two years ago you had a young man. Now the criteria for the ideal man of Elena Zakharova have undergone changes?

There really is no worthy challenger. But, as I said, everything has its time.

As for the ideal, yes, the criteria have indeed changed. And radically. This is normal - the world around us is changing, the world inside us is changing.

Let's talk about one thing about you, your hair. They say that red-haired people are endowed with special impudence and assertiveness. Is it about you?

Not really. I agree that hair color affects a person, his character, even his mind. If I were blonde, I would probably be more sophisticated. If I were a brunette, I would probably be more fatal. I was repainted, of course, for filming. I was both a brunette and a blonde. But still, I'm red.

The impudence that is attributed to all redheads is not inherent in me. My friends even joke that I should periodically take the "Nakhalim" pill (laughs). Ability to work - yes, there is. But not arrogance.

If I were arrogant, in the full sense of the word, perhaps I would have achieved something more by now …

But what about the story with Oleg Tabakov, when you called him and asked to play the role of Ophelia in Hamlet? They say you said that the theater has never seen a better Ophelia than you

What are you doing! I haven't called anywhere (laughs). These are all the fantasies of resourceful journalists who, upon hearing the word, will come up with a whole sentence. It was all very different. We are friends with Oleg Pavlovich. He's an amazing person. I love and respect him very much.

I really play Ophelia in his theater. But to call Tabakov himself and declare this - it's all untrue.

Since we have touched upon the topic of theater, I would like to ask how do you find time for everything? You act in films, and you don't forget the theater. You have both "Hamlet" and "Boris Godunov" …

I love theater very much. Crazy. What I can do on the set - I learned all this in the theater. Theater is an amazing acting school that a grateful student will never forget.

In the Theater of the Moon, you have no main roles. Maybe you are waiting for some big, special role?

I would very much like to play Juliet, but somehow everything does not work out. I would also like to participate in some kind of production where everything happens in body language.

In order to convey to the audience through dances and plastic everything that we usually try to convey in words. I really like to dance.

Elena, tell me, do you have any food preferences? Maybe you like fried potatoes?

About potatoes, you are to the point. I love her! Especially with pickles. By the nature of my profession, I often have to eat in restaurants and taste dishes from different countries, but hardly anything can compare with our Russian fried potatoes. Well, pickles, of course. Just yesterday, I arrived from filming at 2 am and had dinner with lightly salted cucumbers and cheese. My mom calls me "Miss Pickled Cucumber"! (laughs)

Do you like to cook yourself?

I like to cook pies, gingerbread. Anything with the addition of dried apricots. To be honest, I don't really like to cook for myself. If I take up this business, it is solely to please my loved ones. In general, you need to eat healthy food - vegetables, fish, seafood. After all, as you know, in a healthy body there is a healthy mind!
